Location good have stayed here before.

Rooms are quite dated has had repaint but not very good job but comfortable.

The friendliness of the staff.Excellant location.

The hotel looks run down.It looked like that any renovation that had been done to our room was in an ad hoc manner.e.g all the cupboard doors did not close properly . The bedside cabinets were sitting on exposed concrete floors . In the bathroom although recently renovated, showed exposed sink pipe that had not been painted. The door trim inside the bathroom had large gap next to bathroom sink.I have been a travel agent for 35years. No way that this hotel should be classed as a four star hotel. I stayed in room 8.Rusted edges were obvious around our window with rubber piping falling apart.

    Location.

Room looking dated. Needs urgent remodeling. Shower door needs replacing. Can hear a lot of outside noise.

    8EvaPosted on: 10-6-2025

The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious.

We were surprised that we had rooms up on the first floor, however we had help from a staff member to bring luggage up. The hot water in the shower was not hot enough.

    6AndreaPosted on: 9-30-2025

    Central location, home of Stephano's.

She is looking a bit worn.

    5AngelaPosted on: 7-28-2025

The location was great! The reception area was lovely.

The carpet was quite worn. In the room it was bunched up in areas and was a trip hazard. It was actually torn near the bed.

The Grand Hotel Mildura is a beautiful, historic building with a majestic presence that immediately catches your eye. Unfortunately, while the exterior hints at old-world charm, the interior hasn’t been maintained to the same standard. The rooms feel a little tired and leave you somewhat deflated given the promise of the building’s grandeur. On a positive note, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the location is hard to beat — right in the heart of the city with easy access to shops, restaurants, and the riverfront. The addition of the new car park access is also a definite improvement and makes arriving and departing much easier.

Hotel needs some updating and maintenance. With some investment in refurbishment, the Grand Hotel could truly live up to its potential. For now, it’s a stay best appreciated for its character and convenience.

The Mildura Grand continues to be my go-to accommodation when travelling to Mildura for work. What keeps me coming back is the unique character and ambience of the hotel, along with its unbeatable location — close to the river, cafes, and the heart of town. While the rooms could benefit from some maintenance and general upkeep, the charm of the building and its convenient setting make it a reliable and comfortable choice for work trips.

Some investment on improvements and modernising rooms wouldn't go astray

Very good location. Room size is good. Breakfast lunch and dinner are best in town. Definitely we are coming again.

    Good location

Room was very small with no business desk to work from

    5DaniellePosted on: 4-29-2025

    Price

No obvious entry to the hotel and parking was not easy to find. As the Hotel appeared to be 'added too' it was a rabbit warren finding our room and exiting was an adventure!

    2EmmaPosted on: 4-29-2025

    Good location. Staff were friendly.

We were originally in a larger room by the pool, but moved as the carpets were not vaccumed, bathroom not cleaned etc. The walk to the room past the fountain was quite dangerous, very slippery. We were move to a smaller room with balcony pool view, was nothing like the pictures on this page, rotting window frames and walls. carpets lifting up. Hotel in need of major fixes and upgrades.

She is a grand old girl with a 1930-40s vibe. Room was large and we paid a bit more for a balcony overlooking the train station and park, which was a good spot to sit and have a drink in the afternoon. It really is well located and walk to everything in Mildura from this spot, including the best restaurants. Breakfast is easy in the adjoining French themed cafe. 400 Gradi around the corner for dinner. Mildura is an underrated destination.

The hotel is very dated. It's part of its appeal, but it only goes so far. The bed is barely adequate, a new one would give the room a totally different perspective. Not keen about the parking across the road in a pubic carpark either. A lot of crazy people wandering the streets and nice cars left in the open is just an invitation for trouble. Fortunately we didn't have any.

    9LeannePosted on: 4-23-2025

    Location fantastic ! Staff helpful.

Initially room booked only had opaque internal courtyard window, so quite dark. Staff quickly made a change to a garden view balcony room, which was delightful and well worth the $10 extra per nite.

Being moved to a better room

The rooms were shabby, the bed uncomfortable. A lot of noise from other rooms.

    8GaryPosted on: 4-22-2025

    Location is excellent.

Room was a bit old and tired. Needs a renovation.Shower had terrible water temperature consistency, hot, then cold, then hot again, every 2 minutes. Very annoying.
