- Menu was very expensive. Bed was uncomfortable, two singles pushed together - pillows too fluffy. Fridge broken and only limited cutlery - no sharp knives. Furniture in the rooms was sparse. Only Decaf coffee available in the room. Very limited stock and range of toiletries. Shower pressure was low.
- I didn’t like the meals in the restaurant. Thought they were not up to standard for the price. I had a glass of wine, Thai beef salad I couldn’t eat as it was so spicy and hot then got a half serving of kumera chips and it cost me $42! Was not impressed will not eat there again. I have been a caterer for 16yrs so know good food and prices!

The staff across all areas (reception, housekeeping, restaurant) that we encountered were so kind, helpful and competent. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy! The whole place just had a really good vibe in general. Loved our stay here and look forward to returning.

Location and the area of Ahuriri is superb with plenty of shops close by. The access to the ocean is fantastic. Coffee from the restaurant at 8am was good. Sky TV (Sport) was good. View of the ocean great. Shower was hot. It was NYs eve. Very quiet spot. Which I was after.

The hotel room was a good size on the ground floor with a small patio area. The room overlooked a green space through to an uninterrupted view of Hawkes Bay.

Great location, great food, good facilities
The location of the hotel is amazing - so close to great bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. The room was very comfortable and well equipped, with a great selection of teas - perfect for someone from the UK! The views from the room were stunning and the small balcony was perfect for sitting with a cup of tea or glass of wine after a day exploring Napier.
