Hana Lodge

Staff was exceptional and went above and beyond to assist us with a needed chiropractor. The grounds where mystical like being dropped in a fairytale. Alice in Wonderland ish. There is even a bamboo forest to walk through. Breakfast was exceptional. Artwork is throughout the grounds and within the building. Bunny were running around not to mention the bid pink bunny. Just a joy to be there.

There is nothing we bid not like about this location.

Beautiful boutique BnB. Set in a rural (off the main driving route) and quiet location. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Loved the complimentary drink upon arrival and the chocolates in our room. The breakfast was top notch. The GM - Rajiv was very helpful suggesting activities and information about the area. AND the fresh flowers in every room, every table was amazing!

Such a peaceful lodge on beautiful grounds dotted with whimsical sculptures. The staff is very welcoming and the food is good, with breakfast to order and continental self-serve. Our room was spacious and bright and included organic juices and treats in the minibar. Wish we had more time to enjoy the gardens.

Don't leave your windows open at night, a variety of (nonbiting) bugs will come in and hang out near the lights. Screens would help.

Beautiful property with a character. Staying at the property felt very comfortable, the ladies at the reception and breakfast table provided a warm welcome. It felt like staying at a family or friend’s villa.

Very welcoming and hospitable staff from the moment we arrived until we left. We liked being outside of the busy city area. Beautiful grounds, hot tubs, sauna, breakfast - all great.

This is a very comfortable inn with friendly staff and clean rooms. The setting is very picturesque with lovely grounds, outdoor seating areas, and a fun collection of exotic birds. The breakfasts were delicious and we also enjoyed one dinner in their dining room which was an unexpected treat! The chef is top-notch and we loved the food.

Beautiful and spotless. The manager went out of his way to accommodate us after a booking blunder.The food was superb.

The bath towels were to rough. They need to be much softer. The pool was not heated.

I enjoyed the design narrative of the lodge - definitely an interesting place to stay. The room was nicely appointed. Dinner and breakfast were very nice. Staff super friendly.

We stayed two nights here, we had a truly wonderful stay – everything was perfect from start to finish. We love the perfection in details, love the garden, breakfasts are so good plus Staff and manager really attended details and thoughtful, Thank you for the amazing hospitality!

What a fabulous hotel. Beautiful decor. Rooms were stunning. Spotless and comfy. Everything was catered for - toiletries, free mini bar, welcome drink. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Just wish we’d been there for more than one night. Grounds were stunning - amazing bamboo forest. Lovely hot tub and sauna outside.

Loved this hotel, so unique in stunning grounds. Definitely recommend their evening dinner their good was excellent. No complaints.

Beautiful facility with large surrounding park and several quirky sculptures giving the whole property unique character. The restaurant has limited but delicious options for breakfast. Views are stunning. There is a small swimming pool, two outdoor hot tubs and an outdoor sauna. Not far to Rotorua with all its parks and restaurants.

The room was rather small with limited storage space. I used the sauna in the evening and it was pitch black with no lighting around.

We loved the beautiful gardens and exquisitely furnished rooms. The staff were all very welcoming and provided excellent service especially Rahv on the front desk he was outstanding with a great sense of humour.

Our room had very little natural light which was such a shame as the views to the lake and gardens are spectacular. There was only one window and it was tiny. Such a poor design when the site itself is elevated.

It is a very strange place, it doesn’t flow inside, up & down stairs, outside stairs no banister. Restaurant staff were very friendly. It is seriously overpriced, I wasn’t shown how to switch off a light , consequently I had to sleep with it on which disturbed my sleep.
