Not your fault but the weather was not good. Rained the 2 days we were there.

A simple and friendly motel within walking distance of most things you want to see in downtown Rotorua. Incredibly friendly staff who are happy to give advice and help you plan your days. Lots of shared facilities like heated mineral pools, outdoor swimming pool, trampoline, and BBQ. A great place for families or solo traveller's looking for a bit more space. If you don't have a car it's a bit far to the grocery, but the simple Kitchenette has the tools you will need.

It's a bit older, so the walls may not be spotless, but still charming.

Location, easy check-in, good amenities, recycling. Stella's suite: well appointed accommodation.

All was good, nothing not to like.

The outdoors pool is great, really enjoyed that it was nice and warm because the weather was a bit chilly. Also loved the two private thermal pools. Being eco friendly and sustainable is at the heart of Aura and we loved it. Staff is very friendly and approachable.

Lots of care and thought has gone into every detail. Sustainable, environmentally responsible approach. Lovely thoughtful signage everywhere educating guests about the local area.

The lock on the door to the room felt flimsy and a bit tricky to use. Exterior of room looked really dated though interior exceeded expectations

One of the best stays of our holiday. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the accommodation is so welcoming. The location is ideal, as everything is nearby, the town with its restaurants and bakeries, but also the beautiful lake and nature. Our room was really great. We felt very comfortable and would have loved to stay longer. Hopefully, we can be back again one time.

What is with the random placing of light switches? Most were not in the logical spot.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location. Could walk to shops and lakeside. Had allocated parking. Liked that they had a mineral pool and steam box although we didn’t get a chance to use them during our stay. Had heating and cooling

Space was a little tight for 4 people with suitcases. No freezer. Exhaust fan for bathroom wasn’t working, and we couldn’t open the bathroom window, as there was no netting on the window, otherwise lots of insects/mosquitoes would come into bathroom especially at night. Could get a little noisy if kids were in the pool.

The accomodation was one of the best ones we had on our New Zealand trip. The whole place was well thought through. Location couldn’t have been better. It was really clean and had everything you could need for a few days. The staff was really nice and helpful.

The pool area could have a few more sunbeds

Staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Soaking in the Mineral Pool after a long day of exploring Rotorua was very relaxing. Also enjoyed the pool. The Aura is right across the road for the beach and a great children's park, and close to the activity in town.

Great situation - wonderful to be able to walk to restaurants & the lake front.

The first room was very old & hadn’t been modernized at all. Just a lick of paint some years ago. However the staff were most obliging & moved us to a room with a modernized bathroom. We look forward to staying again when we next come to Rotorua. By then the rooms will be all looking amazing.

Loved the local initiatives and support of local businesses. Easy check in, proximity to everything. The fresh milk was a lovely unexpected touch.

Great location within a few minutes walk of the town centre and restaurants, looking out over the park and lake. The staff were friendly and informative about local attractions. The swimming pool was lovely and the mineral spa pools were small but a fab addition to the stay (if a bit smelly!). I'm just sad I didn't get the chance to try out the hangi hot box in the garden! I really liked the green credentials as well, with all the heating provided by geothermal sources.

Our family loved staying at Aura, it was homey, rooms were spacious, close to everything such as pools, play area, BBQ area, your vehicle is right outside your door, very good for singles, families etc. We will definitely come back to stay.

Staff are amazing, friendly, will help with anything at all! The pool is lovely and the hot baths are great. Location is fantastic! Kitchen has all the basics you need. Communication with the venue is great and they give all sorts of tips on how to enjoy the area. They are generous with supplies like milk, tea, coffee etc.

Beds and pillows weren't overly comfortable. Rooms let a lot of light in. Both made sleep a little difficult.

Whilst ageing a little, its clean and tidy and has everything you could need during a stay.
