Without a doubt, the Management and Staff saved the day. They bent over backward to make us comfortable in a rather uncomfortable room.

Bed uncomfortably very very soft. The use of your key to keep the power on in the room when you were out made it impossible to charge phones or computers. This hotel is very near the sulfur hot springs...if you do not like sulfer smell, not for you.

Great friendly service. Had a problem with the TV and was fixed straight away. Also good to have free laundry facilities. Very comfortable bed.

Shower curtain could be longer to stop splashing on rest of bathroom floor and a plug in the kitchen sink would help to wash stuff up!

A good sized room with all the amenities that you needed. 10 minute drive to the town centre. It was good to have our own private pledge pool, with water from the thermal springs.

Great to have a personal hot pool / spa, really enjoyed that. The staff were great, I overslept and they allowed me extra time to vacate. The rooms were comfortable and had all that you needed. I requested a room away from the main road, based on another review that I read, which meant that it was quiet where I was.

A little far from the city centre, really need a car to stay. The motel is, however, close to the Redwood tree walk - about 10 minutes by car.

Really comfortable, well appointed, very interesting lavatory, helpful staff , thermal pool in your little back garden, bbq to use and you get 10% off Te Puia !!

Everything was great and close to two Māori experiences, but a bit of a trek to town centre if you don’t have a car.

On the plus side, beds were very comfy.

Although the property has/is being refurbished, the property looked tired. The crockery and cutlery in the kitchen was mismatched, the outside window sills were very dusty. I understand weather/wind can cause this, but a simple hose down would make all the difference. The bathroom had an aroma, particularly around the toilet.

Very spacious rooms. I liked that there was a door between the hallway, the lounge and the bedroom, so there was no road noise in the bedroom. Excellent parking facilities. Very friendly reception staff.

An air conditioning unit would be a great little upgrade.

The beds, bedding, and towels were great, the rooms were spacious and clean. Grateful to have the laundry room to use.

It’s not an ideal place to stay without a car (our fault for choosing the place, not theirs!) The rooms could use warmer/softer lighting options. Table lamps?

Great location for all the local attractions. Clean rooms and the little outdoor private pool was a bonus.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The free washing machines and tumble dryers were a very welcome extra.

We absolutely loved this place! Staff was very friendly, lots of privacy, huge room with private hot tub outside in gated garden, free laundry - we wish we could've stayed longer!
