Cambridge Mews Motel

My husband has some mobility issues, which we mentioned to our hosts, Andy and Cristal, when we made the booking. They responded promptly - by phone - telling us they'd placed us in the accessibility unit, which would meet all our needs, and had mobility parking right by the door. When we arrived they went out of their way to make us feel at home, and the unit they'd reserved for us was the most user-friendly accessibility unit ever.. There was plenty of room for my husband to get about on his walking frame, a comfortable, easily accessible bedroom, and a well laid out bathroom, with enough grab handles in the right places to make even the spa bath accessible for him. On top of that Andy and Cristal were delightful hosts - always happy to give advice or just stop for a chat. And, to my delight, the kitchen was brilliantly equipped with everything you need to make proper meals. Most impressed - we'll definitely be back.

Absolutely nothing that could have been improved.

Very clean smart room with a warm welcome. Enjoyed the spa bath in the room.

No breakfast available.

Whilst there was no breakfast available we were able to get a very good breakfast at a nearby cafe. Obviously this would not be convenient if you wished to make an early start so I do think the service could be improved if some breakfast basics were provided in the room eg. small packets of cereal and bread for toast.

Spacious room. Kitchenette was very handy and the sitting area with couch and coffee table was very comfortable.Located in a good area, walking distance to town. The managers and staff were friendly & helpful.

The parking area was small and difficult to manoeuvre a larger vehicle into parking space. Often needed to reverse in from street so you could drive out. The presence of brick pillars on portico restricted space and contributed to this problem.

Whole stay was excellent. Room was comfortable, clean, roomy and quiet, motel was close to everything and owners were welcoming.

Great location as a base for visiting family. Short walk into town. Owners fabulous and very gelpful

Always a lovely place to stay. Friendly staff and rooms are a good size and comfortable

Nice roomy accommodation with everything needed. Well equipped kitchen although we only stayed one night so didn't need much. Great location within easy walking distance to town.

A little dated throughout.

Spacious unit...walkable to town. Great staff.

We have come here several times to visit family in Cambridge. The owners are very helpful and the rooms are very clean and tidy.

We very much enjoyed our time at Cambridge Mews. The staff were all very nice and helpful. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the cute downtown area with shops, groceries, and restaurants. The area is quiet. They provided us with coffee, tea, sugar and milk, which was a welcomed surprise.

The only issue we had was the bedroom with the twin beds was quiet warm- a fan or a/c would have made sleeping much more comfortable. There is a skylight window you could open, unless it is raining (obviously), which unfortunately for us it, it did.

Although close to the main road into town, there was no noise from the road. Beautiful, quaint property with lovely hosts.

Amazing spacious room with spa bath and great shower water pressure. Air conditioning, sky tv, and all amenities in the kitchen. Bed was medium, firm, and big, made for the best sleep. Great location as 30 min drive to glow worm kayaking at the boat shed. Staff were friendly and shown us to the room rather than point. I highly recommend staying at Cambridge Mews Motel. Great value for money.

Really enjoyed our stay

I booked a suite not realizing it was one room, for the three of us. Next time I will make sure there is a room for the snorer. Not a complaint, just a lesson learnt on my part

Awesome quiet facilities and very clean. Very friendly host.

I was very happy with our stay at Cambridge Mews. The location was perfect for travel to Cambridge High School for the Waikato Quilt Symposium. Our unit was exceptionally clean.Because of the location our unit did not have much natural light, otherwise we were very comfortable.Look forward to returning but hope to book a larger unit, possibly these were fully booked when I booked.Thank you for our happy stay at Cambridge Mews.Jenny

Room was tidy and modern. Everything looked fresh and comfortable. The staff accommodated our change of second person with ease and the amenities were perfect.

I would have loved to have nicer toilet paper. It’s the little things ?

Went to a 21st . The receptionists was most welcoming remember all about the booking .Will definitely go back and recommend a great place to stay..

Facilities and room were very clean and well provided for

Booking could have been easier, we were called for our credit card details and due to our late arrival, we needed to request were our room was, etc. I would have expected that information to be automatically provided

Daughter &Grandaughter location was great, had great sleep, granddaughter especially liked sky television. My daughter said she couldn’t fault the property and was close proximity to the location of granddaughter’s assessment.

To my knowledge nothing.
