Such a warm and generous greeting and so helpful. I loved the 1 bedroom apartment and got 2 quality nights of sleep. There is a guide book in the room for local attractions.

Very clean, beds comfortable and a great location

It was easy to access and the property itself was quaint and clean looking. Andy was amazing and was so helpful. He allowed me to run some laundry and after 30 days of travel I was beyond grateful. We saw Andy regularly during our stay and he always had a minute for a chat. The room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend the Tower Road Motel.

This was a great place to stay! Very close to Hobbiton (only about a 15 minute drive), the room was clean and the owner was very friendly. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

Location really worked for us. Friendly welcome and very comfortable, spacious and clean rooms. Really nice beds and comfy pillows. Well stocked kitchen utensils and tea/coffee etc. Smaller motel so it was very quiet and safe area too.

Room is sizable. Car poach adjacent to room. Friendly owner showed up at check out time.

Room was cold, can’t sleep! The old wall heater hardly emitting enough heat to cover the room. No heater in bathroom. Toiletries down to the minimum. Overall outdated.

Friendly staff and clean facilities, we enjoyed our stay over easter weekend. Close to shops and restaurants, handy and close to visiting other town's. Generally we thought it was a comfortable stay and relaxing. We will definitely come back down to matamata again.

Only stayed one night but the owner was lovely and very relaxed and wholesome atmosphere. My kids ran outside and ate the feijoas from the backyard. Super close to the Hobbiton set.

Could maybe use a little love in the kitchen area but as somewhere for a stop over we were very happy.

The owner is super friendly and welcoming. Our accommodation was spotless and smelled fresh and clean. It had everything we needed for our stay even extra sachets of coffee and sugar which I was happy for because other places just give you one or two and I love a strong coffee so need more than one packet ?
