Friendly & helpful staff. The place was kept exceptionally clean. Appreciated the fast internet with generous allowances. Receptionist went out of her way to offer helpful tourist places to visit & online discount vouchers. Much appreciated.

Loud music playing until 12 midnight on Friday & Saturday nights. While not unexpected, still not acceptable to us. We had difficulty sleeping. We stayed for 8 days & 7 nights. We expected the room should have been cleaned at least once in that time.

they could have had the room I booked in the first instance ( Queen with private bathroom) and not blame booking.com for their incompetence and then try and give me a room that I did not book or wanted, maintenance on the interior bad, paint peeling off walls and out of order bathrooms

Centrally located.

Run, dont walk, from this place. The rooms are quite uncomfortable. Extremely stuffy and not even a small table or desk to put things. Wi-Fi only works on some of the rooms. There is a small kitchenette on the end of the hallway, but I did not know until the morning as the staff didn’t tell me and there is no information in the rooms. The worst thing was my room was infected with bedbugs. When I contacted the staff on duty at 2 AM, they accused me of bringing the bedbugs in with me. He did not let me remove my things from the room as he did not want another room infected. I am traveling by bicycle and this was the first hotel on my trip. I am very sensitive to bugs while sleeping, and would have woken up immediately in an another setting if there is an issue with bedbugs. I knew immediately when I turned the light off something was crawling all over me. My arms were burning. I found many bedbugs, waiting in the sheets in the morning for me when I went back to get my things. There was black spotting on the mattress and in the sheets, which is an indication of a bedbug infestation. I did not bring these bugs in with me. The owner did not offer me a refund.

Good location

Cold not enough warm bedding, used the one blanket provided and was still cold. Also no jug etc for coffee or even a glass for water

Very basic. Good location centre of town across from shopping center and 1 minutes walk from pick up point for Hobbiton bus. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

No TV. No closet space. Fine for a bed for night.

Shower took over 5 min to heat and then not that hot...even though we paid extra for ensuite... and seemed closest to garden bar.Been before but this was a different experience.

Doors to the hotel did not open till 11:30. Nothing about that noted on the info. I realize you can not check in early but all hotels/hostels I have been to are at least there by 9. Left me out on the street with my bags as I got into town at 8:30 on the bus. Room was very sparse and kitchen not much.

We didn’t have breakfast there was out of our budget, the location I was awesome wasn’t far away from where our children were, was close to countdown too so that was a bonus, met some good people there too.

Everything was good but the beds were little uncomfortable for myself.

The walk out the door in the morning was very satisfying.

Upon arrival, we were extremely disappointed with the room size. I'll try not to exaggerate: 2.5 meters x 3.5 meters. The single beds were placed in an L share so they could fit in the room with the two tiny side tables. We were then surprised to learn that the bathroom was shared with several other rooms, but only one shower. The hotel (if you can call it that) did not provide soap or shampoo. So, if cleanliness and hygiene are not your thing, this may be the place for you. There is a bar below the rooms, which is usually fine, but despite being informed otherwise, the DJ played loud, bassy music well passed midnight, making it almost impossible to sleep. However, the DJ was only one factor in an uncomfortable night. The overly starched hard sheets and mattress that was so soft it hit the board underneath was incredibly uncomfortable. When we asked about soap and shampoo, the staff were rude and told us it wasn't their problem and that I should have asked about it prior to booking......because.....you know.....that's what people always ask when booking a room. After checking in and being shown personally to our room, we said that it wasn't for us and we'd like to leave and receive a refund. They refused and told us that we'd already checked in, and therefore, no refund may be issued. When I was younger, I traveled a bit and stayed in many youth hostels. This hotel was worse then all of them.

The location was excellent. The hotel is more a hostel style accommodation and is a bit dated. nonetheless it is clean and the pub/resto below is very good. Overall good value for the dollars spent.

Only complaint was the loud music but you are in a hostel over a pub, so not unexpected.

Wonderful staff and a handy location. The rooms were clean and basic.

There was no soap for the handbasin. Instead, you had to lean into the shower and get soap from the dispenser in the corner. Very sparse room with just one plug in which to charge 2 phones. Could not operate the fan as the fan was mounted up high with no was of reaching the buttons.

Very good location. Central and convenient. Very clean bed linen.

Very basic rooms. Nothing provided apart from hand soap. TV bracket on wall but no TV!! Small shared kitchen. Could be a little cleaner. e.g tea towels could be replaced more frequently, hot plate cleaned etc. potentially noisy if your room is close to kitchen.

Location was wonderful, staff were amazing! Food at drinks great at the pub downstairs. Room was comfortable and clean!

Only issue we had was not having an A/C and one littlePedestal fan but honestly was not an issue for the night we stayed with windows open was very comfortable
