Astra Motor Lodge

Hotel facilitated late check in with easy check out. Room was above expectations, with separate area for parents/kids. Kitchen had a fridge with milk and microwave, new/clean French press coffee machine.

The service is top notch and they have beautiful modern rooms. They also provided a shuttle service from the main highway into downtown Hamilton. One of the best hotels of our time in New Zealand!

This is the best place I have stayed over the past ten days. It is newly built with modern style. Amenities are just as nice as my new house. Just love this place and hope to find more like this for the rest of our trip.

Nothing to dislike

Very comfortable and pleasant place, easy to access and spaced out for all of us!

nothing that was in their control.

That the accommodation was clean and warm. We went up to Hamilton from New Plymouth for a hospital eye operation and the accommodation was great for walking to and from the hospital. Our son in law took us up so the extra bedroom and bed in lounge was great for us. It was quiet and the carpark was great for us to get to and from the room. The communication was good texting where key was, make sure we are expected etc. Loved the shower gels, make up cleanser body lotions etc.

It wasn't that we didn't like it but the kitchen top was a little crammed although it did suit our purpose as we did our own cooking. I am not sure if one of the power points above the hobs was not working. And although no one was needed we never saw any staff, the times we were there. Not even to drop the key back.

Ten minute walk to Waikato Hospital which was great because one of the days both car parks were full with the que back out to Pembroke St.Modern, comfy bed and pillows with windows double glassed to reduce traffic noise.

Nothing to complain about at all.

Well, the place was in an ideal location.

I was given a room right on the main road end of the motel, this was very noisy with traffic at all hours of the night, with no double glazing on the windows i could hear people walking by and talking.

Very lovely and homely feeling , staff was so amazing even the boss man he was such a welcoming person and so lovely. Cleaners were amazing boss man and cleaners both made sure baby's cot was set up for my baby who had surgery, 3nights was such an amazing stay thank use so much ?

Nice and comfortable bed and pillow . Very clean can tidy . Good size bathroom with a spa .

Noise from the road.

Such a cute cozy modern beautiful unit. Staff amazing and accommodating and welcoming. I will definitely stay again

Add extra milk on day 2 but no biggy

Easy to find, good parking. Lovely clean unit with nice bedding. Friendly staff.

Clean room with everything you need. Close to Hamilton Lake.

The manager was very helpful and responsive. There were 2 lights that were out and she got them fixed before we returned.

The units are very nicely fitted out, modern and clean. Great use of a small space - with a fully functional kitchen unit - wonderful shower and bathroom - sky tv in both the lounge and bedroom added bonus. The back door allowed air and light into the small unit when it was open which was welcome especially in summer. The linen were white and crisp- very nice ?.

There isn’t a lot of windows so units are darkish but the back door allowed light in when open which made up for it. The car parking isn’t allocated and I was asked to move my car by another guest who didn’t realise this. The guest next door spent most of the evening and morning sat outside our unit smoking - with his presence being a little off putting as he didn’t fully dress when outside smoking. Pity because the property was a nice place to stay otherwise and would have rated a 9.

Location clean towels everyday

Needed a bit more attention to clearing

Good location, clean, tidy, comfy.

Really friendly staff who made sure our baby cot was set and ready for us, and the room was perfect for travelling with a one year old - little things like washing up liquid, cutlery and crockery and toiletries were so helpful. Really enjoyed our stay.

The room was very tidy and well set out. The beds were comfortable and bathroom facilities were very good. Staff were very welcoming. Definitely an accommodation option for our next visit to Kirikiriroa.

We checked in late so didn't get to enjoy the room as much as we would have liked.

Very nice & clean room. Very nice bathroom & shower.

Nice clean and comfortable
