showers could be a bit cleaner and tidier, couldnt open window in room

There were two things at least that contributed to my low ratings. The first was that the building shook every time heavy vehicles passed by that felt like a tremor of an earthquake. Upon seeing the outside of it the next day I noticed that it had an "earthquake prone building " warning sign attached to a window that was so high up the building that it was practically impossible to read. The second point was that I went downstairs to make myself a coffee and to have some dinner in the kitchen only to be greeted by a cockroach ? infested bench and tables. It's not good at all and a complete turn off.

The hotel is located in a great central spot to the township

Was not aware all rooms where upstairs, but managed to navigate with an injury

We booked this on short notice. We would describe this as a very basic backpackers or hostel.

There was a large number of huge cockroaches in the kitchen which other guests also informed us about.

Banging doors in the middle of the night, thought it was going to blow down, also locals told us it was bad

staff were friendly and welcoming

room was extremely loud during the night. especially as we had to keep the windows open to get enough air in the small room for 4. But as the price was reasonable, I guess it was expectable.

Kitchen is spacious, functional to purpose but has no oven.Several restaurants and shops in easy walking distance as well as banks and tellers.Room is extremely small, barely functional with no air control except a window.

She jacked the rent up on our arrival! I'm quite certain that is why paying ahead wasn't an option! Not being able to pay at the time booked left the door open to jack the price up. I would have walked away but it was the only room in town.I realise she has likely had bad experiences to build up her walls but the $30 key deposit seemed excessive. Although she didn't charge us, she mentioned that she normally charges a deposit for towels, also.I wish we had been made aware the place is completely inappropriate for anyone with mobility impairment. All rooms are up stairs and the inside stairs don't even have hand rails.Walls are so thin I heard two other rooms alarms going off this morning!

Did my own breakfast but facilities were excellent for self help

I didn’t like the property at very disgusting. Staff couldn’t speak English. Let lots of messages and never return call. I paid for accommodation but when I arrived I was told I don’t hv a reservation. I received email stating that I have a booking

So much. Not clean shower, lots of hair in it. Really close to the main road so lots of noise.The rom was smaller in reality than on the photos as well.

Room was clean and tidy. Good location for me.

The steps at back door are very steep.

For the money it was a poor choice.

When you stay in a hotel, you would expect to be given a towel. Room was very small.Internet was poor.Limited on site parking

I wasn’t aware of the breakfast. Took my own milk and bread to use for tea & toast.

Muggy/hot room, loud traffic noise. People slamming doors & running up/down hallway through the night

Air conditioner and lots pillows

Smell and hair on bathroom floor form precious guest and there was urine in our toilet form previous guest

The room smelt funny, but I suppose that is to be expected in an old hotel.

Cheap last minute accommodation

There is a security deposit that isn’t mentioned but easily refunded on checkout. Absolutely no airflow in the room or through the hallway even with the fan on and door and window wide open. Only 1x toaster available but great conversation starter while waiting your turn if there is multiple people in the kitchen like we had

The location and room are good. Plenty of places to get food nearby and walking distance for New world and good restaurants nearby.
