Waihi Motel

This motel is in a very handy location. Has lounge seating a big plus, well equipped kitchen and in very comfy.

Fine for one night. We arrived late and left early the following morning. The bed was comfortable and the unit was clean.

The shower pressure and heat was hit and miss but it got the job done. The window latch was broken and it took a while before we were able to close it properly.

Location just where we needed to be for the event we were attending in nearby Whangamata the next day

Was a bit hard to communicate with the staff through English not being their first language but they were very friendly and accommodating

Really lovely welcoming lady. The room is the cleanest motel I have ever stayed in. Not to mention the location is very close to the central area, with a museum, cafes, restaurants and bars nearby. It's a 10-minute drive to Waihi Beach. I will definitely come back again in the near future.

Basic Motel clean and basic equipped with all amenities needed close to town centre and local attractions such as goldfields experience and goldfields railway, with coast only 20 mins away

The motel is next to a main road and all through the night heavy timber lorries etc passed by so disrupting our sleep, not the Motels fault, perhaps we pick a busy time unfortunately

My mother said it was quiet and peaceful and clean.

Hotel is a motel, very old outdated invluding bedspreads, blankets, curtains & kitchen utensils.Very basic old hotel, that can get away with the higher rate due to their not being not many options in the area.

Clean large room very comfortable

We were given an upgrade to a 1 brm apartment with a king bed. The most comfortable bed was much appreciated.

Good central location - although a few noisy trucks on the road in the night. Clean and spacious.

Excellent location. Just a couple of minutes walk to the town centre and next door to a supermarket. Great cooking facilities. Fantastic staff.

Convenient for our trip.Needed a place to stay closer to our event.The owner (Lady) was very pleasant towards us.We got Great service as soon as we got there.Very tidy and clean.Thankyou for our wonderful stay.

Good location, we were doing the Hauraki timber trail so it was only a short cycle to the track. Also a short drive to Waihi beach .

very clean, well furnished and cared for, with all the equipment needed for a comfortable stay. it had some nice touches not available in some places...hooks to hang things on, covers on chair arms, simple stuff. Great parking. nice private table out the back door in downstairs unit.

Our stay at the Waihi Motel was a delightful surprise. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the motel's friendly and welcoming owner. Her warm hospitality immediately made us feel at home.The motel itself was beautifully clean and well-maintained. The rooms were comfortable and inviting, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. While the decor might be a bit dated, it didn't detract from the overall cleanliness and functionality of the facilities.We were particularly impressed with the amenities, which were all in excellent condition. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bathroom was spotless.Overall, our stay at the Waihi Motel was fantastic. We were so comfortable and impressed with the quality of the accommodation. We would definitely recommend this motel to anyone visiting the area and would happily stay there again in the future.
