Racecourse Motel

The location was not my first choice, but due to lack of options over the holiday period, this motel was great for our needs and budget. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and had all the amenities and kitchen equipment we needed.

The full front door is a window, not a lot of privacy if you want natural light.

No breakfast supplied. Rather noisy - on the main road.

A few hooks in the bathroom to hang up your clothes when showering.

Room was large, clean and beds were comfortable. deck out the back was great

Great shower, neat kitchen, ample space lovely outdoor space, fluffy towels, great black out curtains.

Air con was a bit noisy and tv was in a fixed position.

It is very close to the Paeroa Racecourse where we were attending an event.Spacious, clean, pleasant staff, easy parking.

Good size unit. Had everything I neede

No AC in room I had. Tho did not need it. A lot of road noise as unit was right by the road

Patricia is a warm, funny, helpful host. She is very flexible and works with her guests for their best possible stay. Obliging about timing of cleaning room and offers daily fresh clean fluffy towels. Linen fresh and clean and extra pillows available.

Two separate rooms - bedroom and living area, with bed and sofa, nice modern furniture, fully equiped kitchen. Possibility to park right outside. Accomodated our last minute booking and late arrival (Thank you!)

Good location. Fair bit of traffic noise all the same.

Shower was poor

Very helpful hosts. Room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. Location for us was good but being on a main road , double glazing would help reduce road noise.

Whist the room was clean and the bed comfortable, this tired motel really needs a bit of TLC. The room is soulless, kitchen cupboard doors won't close and the bathroom needs painting. There are no amenities in the bathroom whatsoever.There is no comparison between the Racecourse Motel and another located in town for the same price.I chose the Racecourse Motel as it was within walking distance to a function I was attending.Won't be back to to this tired old girl.

On the ground floor with good parking, air conditioning, and comfortable bed

No laundry facilities that I was aware of and little information in the room

Pleasant reception by the owner. The room was comfortable enough.

Bedding was 'noisy', ie the sheets rustled when you moved. Overall, the bedding felt stiff and didn't breathe. Maybe the sheets were new and needed wearing in? The blankets were thin and felt synthetic. Overall, the room would be acceptable if the price was lower but I expected better at the price.

I was made to feel welcome. Room was very clean and easy parking.

That I had booked for two days and could only stay for one day by my fault and that I couldn't remember if I changed my booking because I made that mistake the motel owner was disappointed but let me stay for the price of one day.. thankyou

Would have preferred one bed with a couch

The motel had a reasonably well equipped kitchen, standard for motels in NZ, so we were a ble to prepare our own meals - a great cost saving for travellers

There was no air conditioning built in to the unit we were in, though a fan and a cooler were provided which helped with the very hot and humid conditions during our stay. Perhaps this aspect could be addressed in a future upgrade of the facilities?
