High Country Motor Inn Bright

Absolutely loved the location, two minute walk to the river and walking tracks.five minutes drive to town center and everything .

The only suggestion I have for the property is on really hot days to have the aircon running in the room for guests so the room is comfortable to enter upon arrival ..

Building is a bit older. Can hear running pipes and television sounds if slightly louder.

Despite the hotel being old and in need of significant repairs, it was cleaner than some rooms I have stayed at in the Hyatt and other luxury accomodations. I loved the fact that the units had 2 doors especially overlooking the green area and pool.

Breakfast facility would have been good and opening up of the conference room as their were a significant number of us and it was cold the first night and we all wanted to be together

Great and spacious room. Warm, clean. Good comfortable bed.

Great for a night stop over. Hosts had kept the heating on so walking into our room was a delight. Bed heaters also were amazing to stretch thru the night

Could do better by giving extra bowls, cup cutlery so that it’s not a hassle to feel limited on the supply esp when a extra item is needed straight away

The beds and pillows were surprisingly comfortable.Great TV. Very fast Wifi.

The hot water run out at 9am in the morning due to use by other units. We didn't even get to use it on our day of checkout.No staff during checkout - left the keys in the box.Proximity to HV power lines.

No room make up despite staying 2 nights.Rooms really need maintenance and repairs. Peeling bathroom ceiling, cracked tiles, cobwebs on lights, heat lamp in bathroom didn’t work.Not enough power outlets or lights in room.Layout of the room was dysfunctional - full length mirror you couldn’t see your full length in, couch that you couldn’t sit on to watch TV, table in the middle of the room.Didn’t like the idea of kettle and toaster in the bathroom, especially as there was no door to the toilet. The toaster was full of old bread crumbs and a fire hazard.

Fix those pot holes. It like driving on the moon crater..reception could open longer hours. Bathroom very small.

Good location near the river and an easy walk to the shops.

The walls were very thin and we could hear everything coming from the next room. Their T.V kept us awake.The mattress could do with changing. The room could do with a makeover.

Room too dark Fridge ,cups glasses and plates..must located outside the main room next to microwave.

The room was incredibly clean and the hotel was in a great location. The staff were friendly. I would recommend staying here.

The shower door was broken and the bed was not the comfiest. However, these are minor problems and i would return here to stay again.

The room was dark, it was quite warm so we wanted to sleep with the sliding screen door open but it did not lock, it had a bathroom window that would not open, the bathroom exhaust fan did not work, the bed matres needs replacing as one side has dropped & I felt like I was falling out of bed all night. I did then move to the single bed & that was quite good. The grounds look like they have been neglected a bit & the last time I saw a pink vanity was in a museum, but it worked ok I guess. And to top it off there was no breakfast (at all) available or dinner.

Nothing to dislike

Very convenient location, close to Woolies, fuel and restaurants. Rooms were spacious, larger than your average motel room. Beds were comfy, had heating blankets which helped during cold Autumn mornings. Rooms had sliding doors which open up to the garden area which was a plus.Free spacious parking onsite. Swimming pool is a plus but I don't think it's heated (as noone seemed to use it in April while the weather was turning cold); but would be lovely in summer

Shower head was loose, had to hold it while taking a shower. Prefer if the rooms had two single bed options as well, but wasn't a deal breaker.

Staff were friendly.

Driveway full of potholes. Very tired and poorly maintained rooms. Noise insulation nil. Cobwebs, spiders and scorpions. Stained bathroom facilities, broken shower screen, broken and missing shower floor tiles. Old furniture and stained carpets. Didn’t smell or appear clean.

The quiet, peaceful surroundings just a few k's outside Bright would be ideal for older couples.

The place is tired and in need of some loving care. The room access road is a bit neglected as is the play area. The room was adequate , the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was reworked, but the 1980's vibe dominated.

good wi-fi and large room

Sealed driveway to our room. Unfortunately a motorcycle group was there at the same time and bikes where noisy, with an early start up. no fault of the motel.

We had a very comfortable stay in a lovely setting. The outdoor area was wonderful and the room was spotless with everything we needed. We will be looking for availability here first on our next trip to Bright.
