    Pros +

    • Nothing we looked and did not stay
    • Avoid this place
    • Bed was comfy. Water pressure was good and water got hot fast which was nice now that is coming into winter. Happy happy it was dog friendly!!

    Cons -

    • The pictures and what you book is very misleading we paid extra for a toilet we did expect to share showers took one look at the room was not sleeping in there not a snob but need to update pictures
    • It's totally different cabins from what they display here. There were no lights around the cabin area and porch area. Totally 3rd class accommodation. Sticky tape used on the roof ceiling to keep the paint falling from it. Similar situation in the toilet area.
    • Oil heater wasn’t enough to keep the room warm. Took some of the bite out from the cold, but had to really layer up when sleeping.

I would not recommend this accommodation

Heater was totally inadequate as the draft coming through the 25ml gap under the door cancelled it out.The picture of the so called cabin I booked was not what I got, otherwise I would have gone somewhere else.I was emailed two different site maps with my room in two different places which was very confusing to find, especially in the dark.

    It is good location

There was mouse inside cabin, if you have food lock them away

    2CatherinePosted on: 4-25-2025

    Not much, close to town

Mattress was old and thin, no top sheet I.e. not hygienic, thin doona and I doubt the doona covers would be changed for each new visitor!Cabin 33 is old and run down. The interior is below basic acceptable standard. Shame I can’t upload photos!

    un pleasant experience

unclean room, dirty sheets and bedding

    4KatePosted on: 4-10-2025

Not worth it. Stay in your own swag - it’s cleaner.

Cleanliness not very good. Found lots of hairs in my bed sheets. Cabins aren’t well maintained and old/dirty. Very camp crusy vibes that’s for sure.. won’t be returning.

Price; fair price considering nearby locations were 160% more expensive.

Location; adjacent septic tank for nearby, shared ablutions block. Rooms; shearer’s quarters. Clean sheets but drafts and mosquitoes.

Option for upgrade made it much more pleasurable as the first room was far to hot and small . The maintenance man was the nicest man and so incredibly helpful

Original room to small but upgrade was amazing

Not worth wasting time on this place

Rooms were very small and were not at all clean. No heating or cooling, not even a fan

    8CindyPosted on: 3-23-2025

    Location was perfect

The bed was uncomfortable and there wasn't extra blankets for a cold sleeper

    1AaronPosted on: 3-22-2025

    Didn't like anything

Absolutely horrendous place to sum it up it is basically like a 1930's bush workman's camp. The cabins if you can even call them cabins are basically plaster board sheds with a bed a tv if you are lucky a microwave and fridge. The doors are basically locked by a slide bolt on the out side and inside and a padlock, The site is an eye sore with sheds from the 1930's or earlier strewn around the site, the owners and or staff don't seem to really care as there is no book in procedure basically rock up and your key is in the pad lock. It was so disgusting I ended up booking a room some where else. Avoid this place at all cost.

    4GailPosted on: 3-20-2025

    Affordability

No contact with staff; issues with door lock; inadequate cooling; unemptied kitchen bins attracted wasps; bins in amenities also not emptied over two days of stay; inadequate cooling; no screens on windows.

Not Much. Kind of close to town but still a 2km+ walk.

Room was borderline a hostel, absolutley roasting during the day due to no AC. I would not have booked this place if I knew the room I was getting. I think it is Booking.com who are deceptive. There was no way of telling what the room was like from the online pictures and description etc. Park was quite responsive to emails but didnt answer the phone. Also the place goes by multiple names which is confusing. I would not name my park 'Camp Crusty' as most people will relate to the Camp from the simpsons. I mean in all honesty its pretty similar. Construction materials all around the place. Very dangerous for kids. One big dustbowl lol. I paid $99. I think as a campsite/BYO caravan it would be OK but the older cabins are just garbage. I would pay no more than $50 a night and I think you need to really know what you are getting before hand. My poor dad had to book somewhere else because it was too hot.

Very good location. We came to do the spartan race. Clean facitities. Quiet place.

We rented a tiny house. That was a bit smaller then we expected.

Cost was great Location was next to why I was in bright River was perfect

    1ScampPosted on: 2-24-2025

It was close to Mount Buffalo

It was terrible check in service. We were left no instructions about how to get in, when I rang and emailed reception I received no reply so my sister and I were stuck waiting outside for 30 minutes before someone called me back. We were told the key was meant to be left in the door for us but then we were concerned that maybe someone had taken it and now had a key to get into our room at night. So unsafe for 2 young girls on our own. Really disappointed with that system.

Location was fine kitchen good looks like still doing park up which will be good!!

Fan didn’t do anything an it was hot all night , no fly screens so bugs got in an noisy with people walking on verandas

    1CathyPosted on: 2-23-2025

Not much. Didn’t realise there wouldn’t be fly screens, so couldn’t open the window. No air conditioning, so wasn’t comfortable at all. Staff were friendly, accommodation wasn’t great :(
