    Pros +

    • For less than a hundred bucks a night that includes breakfast and Wi-Fi and in a great location in East Jindabyne, it was everything I needed as a base for three days of mountain biking at Thredbo.
    • Nice quiet location on the lake, 5 minutes from Jindabyne CBD. Very nice Breakfast included. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Comfy bed and good A/C
    • We liked where it was located, close to Thredbo and Canberra Morning breakfast although bare was fresh and clean

    Cons -

    • In chatting to the new owner just after he had taken ownership and management, he said that had big plans to clean up and modernise the motel - and it needs it. A few one percent things need attention like spider webs and a general clean up
    • The parking situation was no good. One night returning after dinner there were zero parking spaces left in the entire parking lot. I had to park down the street and keep looking outside until a parking space became available.
    • Our bed wasn’t changed or made once whilst we were there for the 6 days, the hot and cold taps in the shower were switched plus it flooded, the spa bath took at least 30-40 minutes to fill up, it was dusty and overall don’t think it’s well maintained, we did only see one staff member the whole time we were there so that’s probably why. The outside table was dusty and took a lot of paper towel and wipes to clean and patio was covered in leaves.

Absolute value for money and even more. Room Facilities were great. Had all amenities that was needed for a family. The breakfast was great with a good variety of things to eat and quality food. Lee maintained the facilities very well and that can be seen with how clean the rooms and the dining hall was kept. The location is fantastic with a beautiful lake facing room. All in all the pictures on booking.com just don't do justice to what the property has to offer. Will definitely be back.

Comfortable giant sized bed. Breakfast included in dining room. Quiet location. View of lake.

Exterior looks a bit tired, but inside the room is fine

It was good to have a room for myself at this price. Could eat in my room since it was fully equipped. It was clean overall and the included breakfast was basic, but good enough to start the day on a good note!

Quiet, clean, very comfy bed and good shower

Ever so regimented! Do this! Don’t do that!…or there will be a cleaning fee in BIG letters! Whatever!

The location was alright. it's bit off from main central market.

Room size are very small and hard to walk. The common (leisure) area was closing so area so kids dont have much activity in the evening as it's closing around 5 pm.

    7KaticaPosted on: 3-9-2025

the room was clean and the breakfast was simple but good...good coffee ( real fresh grounded as you need it)...there is a playground for the kids and a bbq area all very well kept and the view was nice...

the beds not comfy and the pillows are horrible...they dont support the head at all...the place needs a good clean in the seating area..

    Breakfast

We were given a room next to the hotels. Compressors for the cool room . They kicked in regularly during the night which interrupted our sleep. We were also 8 kilometres from the nearest food outlet.

Clean and quiet plus close enough to all the sights

As above and host was very helpful

    Comfortable and quietness

No issue apart from shower head.

The room was pleasant, clean and spacious with a great view of the hills. Facilities in the room were very functional and I liked that there were dishes and some cutlery in the draw. The bed was clean and comfortable. The couch had you sink down into it, so didn't use it much, but this was not an issue for me on my own. Air conditioning worked well and the big screen TV was great. The only thing I would have liked is a power point more in the middle of the room to plug a laptop into and use away from the corner bedside cabinet with the lamp. Otherwise the bathroom and shower were also clean and good. The breakfast offered a pretty good menu to suit a variety of dietary needs. Didn't really engage with any staff beyond one of the housekeeping ladies who provided a couple of clean towels, and she was very pleasant. Overall very good.

There wasn't really anything I didn't like, except the open/unsecured Wifi connection would be worth mentioning. While the Wifi connection was pretty good, it was accessible via an insecure open network. For online security, connecting via a passkey protected Wifi setup would be preferred. Also, having the TV plugged into the mains power behind the screen and ready to turn on with the remote for the guest's arrival would be much easier for the guest, especially if tech challenged.

Cleanliness and the complimentary breakfast where you can see the lake.

    8ZoePosted on: 1-5-2025

Peaceful location with lovely views from the common area across lake Jindabyne and a pleasant outlook from our room. Breakfast included was a bonus. Everything was clean and functional and the beds were comfortable.

Our room was comfortable and clean but a little run down with a drawer broken and crack in the sink.

    8FaithPosted on: 1-1-2025

The beds were very comfortable, the location was quiet and peaceful. Easy to access. Bathrooms were large, bedding was clean.

Breakfast was pretty average. Required to wash up any used dishes to avoid cleaning charge was odd for a hotel.

Run down hotel with seemingly no effort for upkeep

Well past its prime and quite run down. Our room had cobwebs, dead bugs and a dirty stained mattress at eye level on the bunk bed. Floor sagged and the ‘balcony’ was unusable as you could see straight into your neighbours rooms due to no divider. No fly screen so couldn’t have a window open at night. Exposed cabling outside. Yes it’s a budget motel but the photos are a lot nicer than the reality.

Nice pleasant stay at the edge of Jindabyne lake in east Jindabyne. Quiet, good for relays with good size Jacuzzi bath.Large shower with separate toilet. Moreover there was a balcony with table and four chars. Breakfast included.

There was a lot of bugs in our bedroom and every night they were coming out. Stains on the sofa and on the wall from were paint was pilling off. Light in the shower didn't work. A/C was making a lot of noise at night therefore we keep it off. Basic breakfast cereal, toast and pancakes.

    7PaulPosted on: 12-30-2024

Great view of the lake and mountains. Peaceful location. Comfortable bed. Nice balcony for the evening sunset.

The property failed to mention at point of booking that the restaurant and bistro were closed. Very disappointing, as this was one of the reasons we booked it. Instead had to drive into town to eat. The proprietor said it's because they can't find a chef. The place is pretty rundown, and the proprietor said they're going to renovate it. However, him being the only person working there, things are left uncared for. For example, the balconies have leaves and sticks all over them, and the floorboards have nails sticking out everywhere. A child could easily get injured.
