The Sandridge Motel

A motel that really needs some TLC. Great location, cannot fault. The facilities - the case store has a microwave on it any free bench space the TV. The room is old and dated. I think value for money was poor but this is influenced by time of year - just prior to Christmas so prices are premium. I think for some low cost modifications (tv on wall, microwave on shelf, upgraded bedding, bigger fridge) this place could score a lot better. All that said, it was an ok stay. Check in was easy and staff were polite and helpful. Superb location.

Location was perfect.

My only -ve for the week was that the car next to drove into my car damaging the side of my van. No note and or advice left on my vehicle advising that the occupier of Unit 14 had hit my van when they were either entering or exiting the adjacent car space.

car parking too tight, approach very steep, view was non existent - could only see tops of buildings, room was minimal in size and toilet/shower were dated.photos on your site gave completely the wrong impression.

Good location

Very tired furnishings and horrible bathrooms so very overpriced for the standard of accommodation. It was hot and you could not open the windows because they had been deliberately locked off. Security wasn't great so you didn't want to leave the door to the room open overnight. I know Lorne is expensive but think there is better value for money accommodation around.Ocean views aren't great. You overlook a number of roof tops that destroys any ambience of the place.There is also an Indian restaurant in front of the motel with a vent opening to the roof so you get all their cooking smells when using the balcony or leaving the door open.

The location of the hotel is superb where it is close to shops , cafes , restaurants, public bath and facing the beach . The room is spacious , perfect for couple for a getaway as it comes with a kitchen , a balcony facing the ocean . The bed is pretty comfortable .

The bathroom is a bit aged and it will be great to have a sign on the entrance for the rooms as the entrance to the rooms are on the side of the hotel and easy to miss .

The staff wasn't very friendly on arrival.

The location was very easy to find, and beach front ?. It has some restaurants around the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. I spent just one night with my mom. It’s a good stop for someone that would like to enjoy the cities around the great ocean road.

Old, rundown interior

The location was absolutely perfect and the king size bed was Devine the lovely lady who ran the place was amazing! So friendly and helpful nothing was to hard for her to help us with

The room had a double and single bed so we were comfortable travelling as a family of 2 adults and 1 toddler.

What a find this motel was. Having been through Lorne many times we had never stayed the night. I just booked the first one that popped up on Booking.com and how nice to find it actually was great. An older room but so clean and well appointed and Grace on Reception was really lovely.

This was our third stay at The Sandridge. The room we had could do with an update but bed comfortable and good location.

Great view close to beach and restaurants

The location was exceptional being right on the beach and main shopping area so could walk to everything. There was free parking for one car and we had an ocean view. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm despite it being cold outside. There was a little balcony to sit out on. They had a laundry room with a free washing machine and a dryer that we only needed 2 x $1 coins to get all our clothes dry.

The room was definitely in need of an upgrade with a bathroom that had a shower over a bath and a shower curtain that stuck to you when you showered. There was also 2 taps for the shower both marked cold so trying to work that out took some time.

Room is large, beds very comfortable, room amenities excellent, view outstanding, staff responsiveness outstanding, friendly atmoshphere.

Right smack in town. Upgraded to a front seaview room with balcony. Awesome!

No elevator to take luggage to second floor.

It was in a very convenient location and had everything we needed. It was clean and was a reasonable price.

The room was quite small but what we expected so that was fine. A little bit outdated but adequate.
