Mantra Lorne

Room was great, tidy, clean and homely.Location was great and the Breakfast was fantastic.I wish we had stayed longer and will do next time

You wont get a better location in Lorne than the Mantra! It was perfect for a morning walk on the beach and an evening walk to the shops. The check in was very efficient and the staff member who checked us in was very friendly. Our 2 year old enjoyed using the pool and our apartment backed on to the beach so we could hear the waves from our apartment.

The apartment could definitely do with an upgrade. The furniture and appliances were old and the kettle didn't work. The sofas were very uncomfortable and a very small TV (although it did have Netflix/chromecast, which was great). Also, it could do with some lamps in the living area as the main light was very harsh.

Good sized hotel room. Close to everything in Lorne. Beds were comfy.

Great location. Walking distance to the beach, shops, and cafes, which made everything very convenient. The room was comfortable and suited our stay well. Breakfast was decent, though the selection was quite limited. Overall, a solid place to stay if location is your priority.

Spacious , luxurious, has all the amenities that were advertised. The steam room was a bonus. Tennis courts was also a hit with the kids. A few meters and right at the beach already. Very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Location is excellent. Right next to the beach, and near shops and restaurants.Very helpful and friendly service. Smooth and easy checking in and out. Comfortable rooms and facilities.

The inside is no longer modern, but still in good condition.

The room was really lovely. It was neat and tidy and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. The spa was awesome. The location was perfect, as we could just walk onto the beach from our room, and walk into the main part of Lorne - no car travel necessary.

The toilet sliding door was really heavy and didn't glide easily.

Proximity to Main Street

Parking an extra cost; General parking some distance from room meaning several trips with luggage. Garden maintenance staff using loud equipment well before 9am.

We got a room upgrade and couldn't have been happier with our unexpected ocean view. The breakfast buffet met our expectations; bed was super comfy and curtains blocked out. Conveniently located right across the road from the beach, but away from the surf club, so it wasn't as crowded as other parts of the beach. We will be back for another stay. Staff were all agreeable and helpful, with smiles that seemed real. We did enjoy the pool and saunas too (tho we didn't sauna together as the 2 saunas are located in gender specific changerooms).

It did seem a bit weird to have no flyscreens on our room, as french doors substitute windows in the heritage building. We do like fresh air over air conditioning and had a few unexpected flying visitors, however they didn't ruin our stay. Other people might not be so keen on them. The dining chairs looked nice, but have seen better days, with some collapsed inner springs or missing padding?

Excellent location, spotlessly clean & comfortable room with some surprising extras. The buffet breakfast had a wide range of choices.

Excellent value for money with exceptional helpful & happy staff. Stayed on 2 occasions during our 7 night trip.

Great location and quiet rooms. Very nice buffet breakfast.

Was not explained (by Booking.com) that allocated car parking was available for upgraded rooms. Because this venue caters for events, and we found ourselves in the middle of one, finding a close parking spot was a pain as my wife has a mobility challenge.

Room was in a block of apartments that were undergoing renovation. This was not mentioned on the this site when booking. Arriving Sunday afternoon didn't seem too bad but Monday woke up to the place full of tradies with tools everywhere, noise and utes and trucks making it impossible to get our car out. Room was also very dusty and clearly hadn't been deep cleaned for some time. We ended up checking out a day early as it felt like we were staying in the middle of a building site.
