Sheraton Grand Samsun Hotel

This is a 5star hotel.People from all over the world and different political views stay in this international chain hotel. They have hundreds of TV channels and almost all turkish channels too, EXCEPT Tele1, HalkTV, Sozcu etc the ones that leftist half of Turkish citizens watch. 50% of country votes for left parties and these channels are ALL removed among channels on this hotel’s system. You guys must be really ashamed of your fear of current government when removing those TV channels… Sending an email to the headquarters of Sheraton and making this issue worldwide on social media adding their accounts.

AC was not working properly. it needs long-time to cool down but other than that there was not issues

Junior Staff in the reception and restaurant.

The hotel management has cancelled our room (Executive Suite) on the higher floors (which we had reserved six months ago). They have said it is due to some of their guests, so-called VIP!Also, this time, breakfast was very ordinary. The hot food was neither hot nor fresh, despite our asking for an extra hot food order (fresh preparation) from the kitchen! The oven was closed, and when we asked for the Samsun Pida, they apologized. But they served their VIP guest some oven-cooked food, maybe they have another oven within the kitchen!When we visited in May 2025, the breakfast was superb. That is why we were advising many friends to stay in this hotel. But we are disappointed ourselves and sorry for our friends about our positive advice about this hotel.

Easy access, fantastic view, clean, quiet, great food, dinner and breakfast, courteous service, it was great. We are very pleased.

Not much, it would be nit picking. If they wanted wow factor they can add tooth brush and paste.

The location was perfect for us (near to the bowling alley!) but distant from town, something made easier by the nearby cheap, efficient and frequent metro/tram system (just tap your credit card at the entrance, 70c to travel anywhere on the line). Excellent breakfast. Good facilities. Private beach for summer visitors.

Few western tourists visit the area, so few staff spoke English. Limited menu in the restaurants. I like to have paper menus, not just via a QR code

Was charged to my room at the end of the stay for things I couldn't have had ,staff not interested.

the room was clean. we had a great view. bed was comfortable also shower was nice.

reaching to the reception was hard, we struggled reaching via phone first two days.

Perfect location outside the centre for an overnight stay. But close enough for a very interesting 45 min walk into the city. We enjoyed the clean beach and pool areas as well as the comfy beds. The bathroom was a good size. The staff were helpful and there was room service for dinner.

Could do with some renovation for the price.

Private Beach is very poorAlso, it is not clean and can't swim as it is very shallow. There was a party on the sea side till midnight . We could sleep due to high music sound. In morning lights get in the room as cartin are not perfect

The view from the room was stunning. Breakfast was good.

The bed was soft and therefore not comfortable for us. The reception staff spoke English but the rest of the staff, including in the restaurant, could not converse in English, Russian or Arabic. Ordering from a QR code menu on a small phone screen in English or Turkish did not make this any easier. If you dont have languages then use pictures and numbers. The internet connection was too poor to load any pictures.

We were received very warmly check in was quick and efficient the staff from the entrance to the breakfast were warm helpfull and excellent

They charged me more than it was in the app.

They give us smoking rooms with bad smelling

I really loved everything about this hotel especially Mr Teoaman who upgraded my room and I really appreciate that gesture of hospitality and Mümen at front desk and the breakfast was so delicious and offered lots of food and drinks and the staff were so friendly and welcoming indeed especially Sema and Duygu ? they were so helpful that you feel at home ..the location is perfect facing the black sea .

I think the carpets in the rooms must be renovated.. otherwise all is good ??

Breakfast is good, public areas is good, the rest is awful and does not deserve the name of Sheraton

Hotel is old, need deep cleaning and updating with maintenance. Beach is dirty, not comfortable at all to came across. Furniture in the room and bathroom are damaged, shower needs replacement, air conditioning at room is not good, corridors has No air conditioning. Nobody will help you to get tourist information, the only map they provide is in Turkish, no materials in english, yo have to wait more than 10min to get a taxi. Security seems to restrict your movement, not to protect customers.. daily room service is not good and very superficial.

Outstanding hotel, location in the center for all attractions. Staff super friendly and very professional. We had an issue with AC they immediately fixed it. Beds super comfortable. See view was amazing.

WiFi was very poor. Breakfast buffet; although they have many items it was below average, tea not fresh, Cheese types need to be improved.
