Clean and bed was comfortable

Location was really handy for us. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet.

Breakfast met expectations for a continental breakfast. Room was good size and comfortable.

Access from the road was very complex due to the realignment of the service lanes.

Close to town

Cigarette smell in the room. As well as smell of cigarette from A/C. However, the staff provided us odor spray to use during stay.

We were staying in Ballarat to run the marathon the next day. The Alfred was perfect. Super friendly staff, clean, quiet, great beds, and all the facilities we needed.

The property was clean and well maintained. Rooms got everything we needed. Just a suggestion, if night lamps are there, it would have been great.

The bed was very comfy and the shower was hot and good water pressure

My room, and I guess the others, looked incredibly tired, dated, and old. Chipped wood, cracks in shower screen. I know this is just cosmetic, but it did feel a bit sad

The smell! The most awful smell. The smell got into my bags and all my clothing has come home smelling like the room. Tried perfume, air freshener and eucalyptus spray to get rid of the smell as all other accommodation was booked out for the weekend. Nothing worked!!

It has the family suite with two separate bedrooms

Pillows are too hard to sleep on, rooms feel quite draughty

The family room was very clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable. The receptionist was very kind and accommodating. The hotel is close to the town centre and lots of takeout and cafes around.

The shower was not clean. There was hair over the walls and dirt on the floor I had to wash the shower myself. The cutlery was dirty, The cleaning sponge was mouldy. Apart from these few things everything else was great and clean.

Very convenient location - it was only a few minutes drive to Ballarat central, it was surprisingly quiet considering it was just off a major thoroughfare too! The check in and check out was easy and smooth, we had to leave very early the following day and it was a simple case of drop the key card off in the box on the way out. Plenty of room for my family, beds were comfy, no complaints at all! Did exactly what we wanted the room to do.

Room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was also very quiet with little roadside noise overnight and no intruding noise from people in other rooms.

Although the facilities and furniture are in good condition, they do look a bit dated

Very pleased with our short stay, after a mad dash from the Spirit of Tasmania to the motel the owner was very friendly
