Bathroom strange set up open but small shower

Beautiful yard, good parking near room & comfortable bed

Shower head needs replacing. Loud music playing until midnight. Thin walls, could hear the neighbours conversations

The room was extremely outdated, TV kept dropping out every 30 seconds, no tv internet access.

Bed was fantastic pillows hot water all good.

The location was good as we had a family function at the hotel next door. The room was clean and tidy and had everything I required as I was only there to sleep. Reception staff were helpful on check in and check out.

I was obviously in a disabled persons room even though I didn't request this type of room. The room had no windows that could be opened for fresh air nor windows you could look out as they were at ceiling height. There was a group of 10 of us who had dinner in the restaurant and for a Mercure property the menu was very basic and the service slow and meals mixed up. They had a wedding in an adjoining room and staff seemed to be concentrating their efforts to that area. We had breakfast in the restaurant and once again it was below standard to what you would expect at a Mercure property. Choice wasn't great and the hot buffet wasn't hot.

We were there for a wedding on site. A lovely wedding venue.Breakfast was available in the restaurant that was fine. Sovereign Hill was across the road a short walking distance away.

Our room had an unpleasant smell

Unfortunately on arrival to the room my family were allocated we came across housekeeping linen bags at our door. Other cleaning items left on the bench at the entry. After settling in, we left after an hour to enjoy our day in Ballarat these said items still sat at the entry to the room. Returned to freshen up for dinner the linen bag and items had gone, but a microfibre rag stayed the whole duration. Otherwise was very happy the experience at the Mercure. Great property, friendly staff and comfortable room.

The room is clean. The size is good. Generally very quiet but for a function next door with very loud music on Saturday night :(

1, No water bottle is provided. 2. Bathroom is not equipped with hand held shower 4 female guest who wants to have a shower but doesn't want a hair wash - haircover would be appreciated. 3. The shampoo and soap bottles did not work, required attendance.

Gardens and outside were stunning. Lots of trees and lake was lovely.Nice spacious bedroom and comfortable bed. We stayed in the Courtyard rooms. Staff were really nice and helpful

Bathrooms as most reviewers have said need updating as well as furniture in the room. Need more outside seating in the courtyard. Also breakfast was pretty mediocre.

Comfy beds, open rooms, great parking and quiet.We also found a great fish and chip shop just down the road as we arrived after the restaurant had closed.As an added bonus, it had a 11 am checkout

In the morning before checkout, the cleaning staff were extremely loud before my checkout time banging on the doors of the neighboring rooms and calling out.

Loved the spot and buildings

Don’t like a showers in a bath tub too hard to get in and out of. The bed was a bit worn out not as comfortable as previously stays.

Restaurant was pleasant for dinner and the grounds were well manicured so surprising that room was not up to similar standard.

Very dark room. Very tired and dated decor. Only hotel that did not supply small biscuit packs and limited tea & coffee.

Away from walking distance to town centre

Staff were amazing and so friendly. Room was simple but nice layout and plenty of space.

Lovely location, movies were good.

Shower was a little low

Very pleasantly laid out.

The bed was hard as a rock. The pillows were far too fat to sleep on without getting a neck ache. It was a double room with king size bed but only one chair. There is no ventilation other than the constantly running exhaust van in the bathroom.
