Gisborne Motel

Frustrated by lost sleep time before an early morning start

Door handle of bathroom door failed and locked us out at 10.00pm (could easily have been locked in the bathroom). Had to wait for owner to come from 70 km away to remove the handle and release the latch which occurred at 12.30am.

Room was fine, bed was very comfy and room was clean and the hot water was lovely and hot!

Door had to be slammed to shut properly, went out and thought door was shut and locked to come back with it slightly open. Shower door was a little bit dodgy, would stick when opening it.Would have been nice to have milk topped up in fridge when they cleaned the room on the Saturday

The motel was abit hard to find and it is a fair walk into town and back. The property needs to have better signage, even leading up to the property.

Room was clean, furniture was adequate. Quiet location, not far from town.

No outdoor seating for our side of the motel or in the garden. Only one extra pillow that really wasn't a pillow, but a very old lumpy mass. Really heavy chairs for table.

We didn’t have any outdoor chairs as per a lot of other units. Was very costly for the age of the place

Hotel was clean and neat, the old style motel you would find on the highway in country Australia. Motel is out of town and not within walking distance of central area.

Very clean facilities, very friendly and helpful staff. The facilities are a little dated but very much still fit for purpose. It reminded me of motels from the 1980's when I would travel as child with my family. Plenty of parking and very quiet location.

Such a lovely motel , the owner is the nicest person and cannot do enough for you , the motel is also spotless and lots of space in the rooms . Great location.

All we needed for the night. Handy having a fridge and air conditioner as it was a warm evening.

Beds were not that comfortable. There was an abusive guest next door to us who banged on his window and swore as we arrived home. He appeared to be a long term stay. We didn’t feel very safe after that.Very pricey for what you get but there are not many other accomodation options available in the area.

Very friendly manager, lovely peaceful location and possibly the comfiest bed I've every had. Appreciated the microwave, the cutlery and crockery, and the quick supply of hairdryer when requested.

Toilet roll holder half hanging off, the carpet and tiles looked a bit tired, tissues would have been appreciated for the price.

It was very neat and clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Lovely man that runs the establishment. Nice and quiet and located not far from town. Comfortable accomodation for an overnight stop over, clean room.

A cosy little country Motel. Nice size room, comfortable Bed, very clean facilities. Tea & Coffee facilities and a toaster in room. Area was very quiet.

Nothing to complain about

Basic but a very clean, comfortable room and peaceful and convenient location. Fluffy white towels, good water pressure in shower, comfortable bed, air con worked well on a 33 degree day! Perfect place to stop over and wash off the days travel and a 5 min drive to town for dinner. Andrew the manager was helpful and easy going. A great place to stop over for a night if road tripping or for a few nights to explore the lovely area around Gisborne.

Quiet, easy to access from freeway, short drive to shops

Bit tired, however was comfortable and clean

I should have checked out what was supplied , if I should have supplied my own breakfast etc
