Golden Hills Motel

We have stayed here 3 times now and we really like this place. Nice quiet location, clean and tidy. Rooms have everything you need and are kept up well. Beds are comfortable and the staff are so helpful and lovely. The value for money is excellent! Would recommend to any budget travellers.

The only thing I would complain about is the bedside lamp in the last room we stayed in, room 17, needs to be replaced as it was a bit dodgy.

Good spot to stop on my trip to Bendigo. Room was basic but clean and comfortable.

Cleaning of the bathroom and only 1 towel. I did get an extra towel when I asked for it.Swimming pool water was low and grass clippings floating on top, pool was very clean. 42c, so needed to cool off after the long drive there.

No table in room or hanging space for dresses only shelves in the room I was in.

room was adequate and comfy beds. Owners dont bother you. Pool was beautiful. Laundry available to use.

needs some TLC to rooms. had to empty own ashtrays. No cleaning during stay. A bit out of the way if you dont have transport.

Location was great.

Room wasn’t clean, had used milk in the fridge, mouldy bread in the cupboard that looked like it was in there for months. Toilet hadn’t been cleaned what so ever!

The location was great as went to Red Energy arena across the road. That was main reason for picking this motel plus the price. It was good that there was cutlery & crocker.

The rooms were clean, however people sitting outside every room smoking was off putting as the smoke drifted into our room. The exterior of motel needs revamping. The gardens were over grown. The pool itself was good but the surrounds need cleaning up and maybe cement the whole area. Was not appealing to go and sit there at all. The blanket in cupboard had just been chucked in there not even folded.

Nice quiet location but still only. 5 min drive to everything you need while staying in Bendigo

It was a great location, friendly staff, comfortable bed and a great shower with instant hot water! Great value for money.

More choice in pillows, way too soft, carpet had a few stains and didn't like the bed up against wall! TV also kept glitching, only able to watch ABC or SBS, without any issues!

A dirty wine glass in the cupboard, and the bathroom cupboards and drawers don't work very good ,the double power point in the bathroom didn't work. The grounds need alot of work

It wasn’t well-maintained. The shower door was cracked. There was a spider on the bed, the sheets were dirty, the room wasn’t up to standard

For the price couldn’t complain. Maybe vacuum the rooms and fix the issues in the bathroom.

Needs a lot of work done in the room we stayed. The room we stayed in was Nothing like the photos. Paint and chips in the shower, the shower sliding door barely open not on rails.

Rooms clean facilities are modern and friendly staff close to public transport and shops good location .

The room was nice, pretty good value for money. The pool was good too. The showerhead was big in the shower so that was good and the air conditioning worked really well especially in the heat that we had.

The pool was good but needed some shade and also the tiles around the pool were broken and wobbly so bit dangerous for my young daughter.

The room was neat, recently done up and perfect for our needs. It had everything you'd expect - comfy beds, clean bedding, tv, internet, tea/ coffee facilities in room, and a decent sized shower. The location was close to the CBD, and we will happily stay here again.

The only thing I'd change if it was practical to was the size of the car parks - we found them to be a little short for my wagon and other larger SUVs.

Couldve been a little cleaner and it is a little out the way of town although it is next door to a great pizza place

The room was nice and clean

The pool wasn't prepared and it was an extremely hot day so we couldn't use the pool at all my kids were very disappointed, also we had a man from the end room constantly coming up to us asking us lots of questions at night time and just acting very odd .. made me and my children feel very uncomfortable.

The staff were very obliging and helpful. The room was very good but would have been better without the single bed. The bathroom was modern and clean.

Full ashtrays on the outdoor setting. We don’t smoke so we don’t like ashtrays left lying around.
