The car parking area was just outside the room, which made it very convenient for us to move our luggage and the breakfast was very nice. The room is clean and bed is comfortable.

I booked the room with breakfast included, but the staff were not very friendly and said that the breakfast shown on the booking was not the full version.

They charged us for everything they left on the room such as water, chocolate, chips without let us know that we have to pay for them!! How kids and parents have to know they are free or just a trap to ask for extra money!!

The air conditioner had a bad smell, which made the room uncomfortable. The internet connection was very poor and often unusable. The hot water was difficult to adjust and inconsistent. Overall, the stay was unsatisfactory.

Albany is a relatively small city but the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of a grocery stores and several wonderful restaurants.The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, none better than Sandy. The breakfast is well worth the experience.

The bathroom floor mats were a little small, fixed with a bath towel on the floor. Our rooms bathroom sink hot water was difficult to shut off completely. That being said, we would definitely stay there on our next visit.

The location of Dog Rock, across from shopping and many cafes is very good. This hotel is a gem and always exceeds expectations. I have stayed for both work and leisure before. The restaraunt is award winning so best to pre-book. There is also a wine lounge with a fire place which is very nice.

The shower head wasnt working that well in our room. Apart from that its an excellent room.

Initial booking did not mention type of breakfast. Paid a surcharge to have breakfast included and then had to again pay more at the property to have access to hot food. Would have rather been charged full amount upfront.

We stayed one night at the Dog Rock Motel and found it perfect for our needs. The staff were lovely and welcoming, and the location was ideal for a quick stopover. We appreciated the option to upgrade to a cooked buffet breakfast—it was very reasonably priced with a great selection. The room was surprisingly spacious, and the facilities were excellent for a motel stay.

The only downside was the showerhead in room #15, which felt quite sharp and uncomfortable, with no way to adjust it. Since it was just a one-night stay, we didn’t raise it with staff, but it might be worth checking for future guests.

Continental breakfast was free and everyone enjoyed it. You can upgrade and pay for cooked breakfast but we didn’t need to. It all looked great. Service was good too.

We really loved our stay at Dog Rock Motel. It was conveniently located. The room was extremely clean and had everything we could possibly need. The breakfast was also great and the staff were very friendly. Overall, we had an excellent time staying at this place. Would happily come back in the future!

When booking. Breakfast should have mentioned when booking , what is included and not.But I would still rate it as excellent and awesome service and staff.

Clean and comfortable. Our room had a small kitchen so could make own breakfast or simple lunch/dinner. Good location. Suitable for short stay.

Thin walls.. we had very noisy neighbours who were up late making it difficult to get to sleep!
