Hilton Garden Inn Albany

The staff were at all times pleasant, friendly and very helpful. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble to take care of and to offer their assistance.

The toilets are very low and for older people presented difficulty in being able to stand back up. The desk chair is extremely uncomfortable and as the only chair in the room made sitting at my laptop, doing crosswords or reading almost impossible.

The room was clean and spacious

The Hilton Garden Inn Albany is relatively new and very well located right on the water, directly opposite an excellent restaurant, with great walking paths around the area. The room is very nice, on the smaller side, but thoughtfully designed and laid out, with everything you need. Breakfast was outstanding and easily one of the highlights of the stay. The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely proactive in delivering a higher level of service. Overall, a great place to stay and one I would happily recommend.

The facilities were excellent, and the room was both comfortable and visually beautiful. It made the stay genuinely enjoyable.

The air conditioning couldn't be turned off. Cleanliness also fell short of expectations, particularly in the bathroom. This is definitely an area the hotel should focus on improving, given the brand’s reputation.

Room was noisy - deluxe king room with Harbour view is near the lift and you can hear every noise as people come and go all night. Breakfast was included but we opted out for the second morning after the poor service and food the first day. We arrived mid breakfast service and everything had run out. On request only some items were replenished. Same restaurant for dinner the night before had same poor service with meals delivered at different times, empty glasses not collected and drinks ordered that never arrived

This property is located right at the harbor which allows for a lovely view if staying in the harbor facing rooms. The hotel is also close to town/shops and restaurants.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here, and once again, the check-in staff on our arrival were a letdown. We arrived at our approved ETA, but there was no one at the check-in desk. We waited quite a while before someone arrived to assist us. Once in the room, there was hair on the bathroom floor, and the conditioner was empty. This property has so much potential, but I find that the attention to detail is lacking.

I was attending a course at the venue.So it was easy to stay here

My dinner got forgotten on my second night. However the man taking my query was wonderful at fixing it all and delivered it to my room.I found the checkin area very noisy when it was between the bar and the restaurant. And not well advertised that it was the reception when being a new guest at the hotel.

Nice views. Easy access to town by foot. Comfortable bed. Big TV

Heating and cooling hard to get right

The cleanliness was poor. There were stains on the carpets in the hall and on the window seats in the bedroom.House keeping was inefficient. Of the 4 nights we stayed, the room only done once. We had to request towels, milk and coffee.The breakfast was average, and the staff were poorly trained. Often they would leave tables to pile up with dishes. Their service when helping clients was average at best.We had stayed the previous 3 nights at Hilton Gardens in Busselton. As a direct comparison, it was far superior in every way.

Good location.

No sheer curtains on the windows for privacy, you had to remember to keep curtains drawn because other rooms can see straight into your room.

The apartment & the location was absolutely stunning. It was located in a perfect spot where you could walk into town & the views were breathtaking. The apartment was clean and lovely!

The only thing I could say about the apartment was I only had a single pillow & would have liked a double.

Breakfast was great in general especially for people with non dietary constraints. The location is great. Nice setup with friendly staff in general.

Breakfast was great in general but not well organized for people that have dietary restrictions such as Gluten and lactose intolerances. We stayed 4 nights. At our first breakfast we advised that one of our members is gluten and lactose intolerant. The manager indicated that they would look at also providing GF pastries/muffins/cakes and lac free yoghurt options during the remaining 3 days of our stay which sadly even with the right intentions did not eventuate.

The location was OK but right next to the port area. Breakfast staff accommodating. Coffee machine not working each morning.
