Easy to find. Clean and comfortable . Good communication with staff and good value.

The ambiance and feels like home

Suggested to have an extra mattress or foam instead of sofa bed not really comfortable but overall the stay in the hotel is perfectly good

Great grounds, kids had space to play cricket. Short drive to centre of Masterton. James was amazing, we were a set of linen short and he was quick to sort it out. Then we managed the leave some of our belongings behind and it was no problem for us to sort out a friend to pick them up. Thanks James!

Room a little small

Nice updated bathroom, good size rooms and plenty of beds to accommodate 3 families. James the manager was exceptional to deal with. Good heating in common area eg lounge and dining with abheta pump and option of fireplace in winter.

Another full size bathroom with shower to accommodate a large group would have been handy. Very minimal heating in bedrooms other than individual electric heaters which aren't particularly safe for young children walking around. Thankfully we didn't visit in winter so it wasn't too bad and only needed heaters at night when kids were sleeping.

Great that James let us know quickly that we'd left something behind.

Other than that issue raised above the stay was great as usual.

I arrived at the room around nine or so on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. The whanau in room 7 next to me was having a big argument, yelling, screaming, and swearing, and the dog was barking mainly because of the argument between its owners. The person in the last unit had said she had made contact with, I assume, the police. It would have been good to have someone from the UHotel intervene.I love staying at the premises, and James is a fantastic host. I guess management should consider more customer vetting and immediate evictions as required. The situation upset my stay, and I could not settle and sleep peacefully. As I said, James and his team are great, and the hotel is lovely, but my score does reflect that experience at that time. UHotel Masterton is my preferred place to stay when in Masterton and I am a regular customer at this premise.

It was very clean. It accommodated my dog, which was hugely appreciated. Very easy to find and plenty of parking. Staff were very helpful and nice.

The light outside was on at night (for safety) but the blinds in the kitchen didn't block it out sufficiently and it was very bright at night in the room. The TV was extremely slow to work and couldn't connect to the internet so wasn't usable.

Close to town, had a pool we used, good grounds, nice feeling of space and tranquility. Bed was comfortable. There was monkey bars and swings for the kids to play on.

The pool needed a clean, The facilities were good but glass table and mirror were smudged. No air con but had a fan available.
