Underwhelming

Dirty, garbage around property and the office was messy

Location was good, we walked from railway station

Close to Monteith's Brewery.Close to centre of town.

The view of the untidy mess of the manager's unit behind the front desk.The powerboard in the living room had two faulty points, one didn't work, the second one sparked when I plugged in a power cord.Food stuff on the floor under the dining table.Dirty skirting boards.The electric blanket on the main bed had loose wires bound with sticky tape.The shower was barely room to move in.The coffee table was broken.Outside there was garbage strewn around the garbage bins.Outside the permanent lettings was very untidy and a lot of vehicles.

Old buildings but kept clean and tidy. Staff helpful.

Location was good, only a short walk into town. Parking was available on site, however this was a concern as noted below. The place was tired but maintained. The gentleman that checked us in walked me to our room. When approached with queries they were addressed straight away.

I believe that the back units of the motel are used for emergency housing, this was where my biggest concern was as there were 3 young children riding around unsupervised on their bikes and scooters weaving in and out between the guests cars.

Close to Monteiths brewery

Used as Emergency Accommodation for NZ Housing.Not good, should have been advised of this.Room small, needs total update.Not recommended

Very disappointed.

A lack of cleanliness and several things were broken or not functional. The whole property seemed tired, untidy and uncared for.

The owners were so accomdating with fresh towels ,toilet rolls etc each morning. Very comfortable beds and clean room. Affordable place to stay.

Outside surrounds not very good and look a bit run down.did not feel overly safe their.The Police arrived late at night to question the family next door and on the way out spoke to another couple of youngsters.It appeared that the motel could be letting units to the government for homeless people a ????.

Toilet seat broken, sounded like a siren when filling. Lack of TV channels even Free to air selection was poor. fridge not turned on. crockery not clean. Microwave not clean. floor not vacuumed. Parking difficult

Very rude staff. His bookings consisted of a piece of paper scribbled in a mix of Chinese and English. He pointed to names on it but ours was not on it. He then gave us a room that did not have a kitchenette. We had a booking for a room with a kitchenette. I said it would be OK if he gave me a discount or a bit of money back. He gave me back half of the booking fee. Came back 10 minutes later and said. Is everything OK now? I said yes thankyou. About half an hour later, He said we had to get out as he had other people coming into the room. He thought we just wanted the room for a couple of hours. That is why he gave us half money back. He became very angry and demanded we leave NOW! Realising there was a misunderstanding, I then offered to pay him the full amount. He then said he would NOT give us ANY room at ANY PRICE! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER in the 7 years that I have used booking.com. He then gave us the rest of our money back. We had to look for somewhere else to stay on a very busy weekend. I suspect he had double booked in the first place and was looking for a way out. There was no need for rudeness and NOT the way to run a motel business. Very disappointed and upset.

The manager was rude & definitely not the slightest bit interested in customer service.

Just about everything. The unit was poorly provided & not well cleaned.

Good location easy to find on the main road. The railway station was an easy walk. Parking available on site. Plenty on kitchen utensils and crockery.

The place is very old and tired. All the facilities including bedding needs to be upgraded.The tv did not work no channels were available. The reception was satellite and we could not get it to work. No instructions on how to use the tv was available.

Within walking distance of the train station. The bed was comfortable.

Very limited kitchen utensil, unit needs updating very 1970's, bathroom light over mirror didn't work, hair dyer in-operable, kitchen double plug only 1 outlet worked

Staff were helpful and lovely people. The Breeze is central to town and close to other amenities. Comfortable

Grounds around were a little untidy. It was a little expensive.

Nothing.NO milk for a tea or coffee when we arrived! We were told to go buy it ourselves! It smelled bad. The single bed was uncomfortable. Pillows are hard and horrible.NO HOT WATER for our showers after a big day out.

I was very disappointed with everything and paid $340.00 for 2 nights. Not good value for the money.
