Great staff and location! Everyone is welcome!

Location, price, staff, heritage of building. It is a hostel, so it's a melting pot of nationalities. Good kitchen facilities, cleaned almost hourly. New owners working hard to spruce the place up.

It's a hostel, so I did not have high expectations. All good.

Iconic place with friendly hosts, themed rooms and fun paintings everywhere and clean facilities (kitchen, lounge, nice garden)

Historic building with thin walls

First of all it is a lovely place with very welcoming staff that took the time to explain a bit about the history of the building. Secondly, probably the best hostel kitchen I have used.

Great hostel, well equipped kitchen, all areas very clean, newly refurbished washrooms, comfortable mattress and pillows, quiet area. Great stay, would recommend!

I absolutely loved my stay here. The house is beautiful, and the individual rooms are thoughtfully designed with so much love and attention to detail. You can really feel the care that has gone into creating this place.The owners are the friendliest and most welcoming hosts I’ve met on my travels. I slept better here than I have in the past three months — the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and calming. It’s honestly the most tranquil and relaxing place I’ve stayed so far.Everything was spotless, the kitchen was excellent and very well equipped, and there’s truly nothing that could have been better. The beautiful backyard with hammocks and even chickens was the perfect place to unwind.I couldn’t recommend this place more — it was simply perfect.

The interior decor of the hostel was done out in animal themes such as cartoons on the walls and door-stops on the floor in the shape of animals, to reflect the hostel's name Noah's Ark and how Noah brought in pairs of all species of animals into the ark. The hostel is a short walk from the centre of Greymouth and the railway/bus station.

Great community atmosphere, quiet and respectful guests when we stayed.

They are doing up this lovely old heritage building, so be patient with small inconveniences here and there (a light or tap not working etc )

New owners, they are lovely. Stayed in this hostel before, they have done a lot of renovating and have many more plans.Charming house with character, especially love the veranda. Not 10 minutes away from both intercity busstop and trainstation on foot.Comfy beds, spacious dorm, well-equiped kitchen. Showers are dated but good. (Looking forward to those rainshowers you are planning!)

Very old, nice and well located building, an historic former presbytery. Ola is very welcoming and eager to help you discover the area. Very well equipped and nice to stay. I highly recommend

Renovations are ongoing but this did not inconvenience us.

Good dinning room. Clean kitchen. Fast and stable internet.

Very loud frightening wall-punching sound and terrifying roar with rage made by someone outside the room at midnight disrupted my sleep. Next morning the a hostel staff switched off electric power in Kitchen when my food was being heated in the microwave oven and then switched on at the time I opened the door of the microwave oven, seemed like a well-timed prank. It's my second time staying in this hostel. First time in 2019 it left a good impression. But this time the weird things happened which ruined the overall experience.

A quiet and pleasant space, next to the school and quite close to the station and supermarkets. The staff is very friendly and the services are good, although somewhat dated due to the historic building.

The lock on my bedroom door and the fact that one of the toilets didn't have a door. They're doing some renovations, but there's still a lot of work to be done.

It was like staying at my grandparents house. Very warmly welcome.

Because of the timber floors and quite a natural that have a sound when you walk around the main corridor. Other than that all are well maintained and clean.

Quirky rooms. Great laundry. Beautiful old building.

Location is 2 min walk to city centre. 10/10 for cleanliness in all areas. Excellent kitchen facilities. Confortartable cosy lounge and dining areas. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Definatly recommended and would stay again

I think more washing machines avaliable to guests for longer hours.
