Staff were wonderful! So friendly and kind!

We made our own breakfast, that was easy.I liked that there was a very lightweight - and attractive - summer bedspread on the bed - we didn't have to swelter underneath a too-warm duvet, or alternatively throw a duvet off the bed. That bedspread was just right for our January one-night stay.

We arrived quite late: moment of panic as office was locked. Called number supplied, and owner's father (who was filling in for him came down immediately . Smooth check-in, and milk for morning supplied. Place v clean and pleasant, all appliances worked well, v comfortable.

v minor quibble: net curtains at windows would have been good, for a bit of privacy when main curtains are opened

close to center of town and restraunts wifi was great

Pillows need upgraded they where kinda flat. Plus they leave windows open on unoccupied rooms which at night if wind is blowing causes the blinds to keep smacking against the walls. which you can hear.

Well located in Blenheim. Spacious motel room, clean, all facilities, good parking.

No air conditiong! Fans are available. For this reason we marked down an otherwise very good motel.

Very clean and well stocked unit and they were very happy to accommodate my late arrival.There was a generous range of bath room products.

Lovely airy room with plenty of space, nice touch having a second bag rack and the space to use it. Kitchenette well equipped , bathroom good, bed comfy and we slept well. Simon super helpful, many thanks for the hospitality

Soundproofing jot great as windows are older . Shower pressure not great and kept going cold to hot to cold.

Very clean and comfortable. Generous supply of bathroom items. Well appointed kitchen for cooking. But property also convenient to town for eating out. We had an upstairs unit bathed in sun at breakfast time. Perfect breakfast supplied to order.

Incredibly friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Nice balacony off our room with seating area. Nespresso machine was a nice bonus and lovely toiletries to use. This accommodation had everything we needed including a full kitchnette.

Bathroom was clean but could be more modern. New silicone around the shower would be beneficial.

I arrived later in the evening on a rainy night having driven up from Christchurch. Simon was very friendly and helpful checking me in, the room was perfect, I was able to park right outside and Rosie - the dog - was very content. The heater worked brilliantly to warm up the room in a very short period of time. The location is excellent with being so close to the river walk, and close to the supermarket and other shops. It was very quiet even though its on the main road.

Rooms facing the carpark could have privacy blinds so you can have privacy but also natural light, but certainly not a problem as they are.

Central location. Spacious, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Hosts were welcoming and helpful.

We really enjoyed staying at the Colonial Motel - the owners were so kind, friendly and accomodating, with plenty of tips for places to visit with our young family. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The host was very friendly and had good suggestions of places to explore in the area. Very conveniently placed for supermarket, service station, fish and chip shop, centre of town and easy access to the countryside. Definitely recommend it.

Great location, friendly owner, clean rooms, comfy beds, great amenities. Had a great stay. Good coffee truck a few meters away FYI!
