Pros +
- Clean comfortable colourful .Pulled into parking lot and was immediately taken with the joint . Old school room with all you need for a night . Easy check in and out .Congrats to staff and owners this place just feels right
- It looked quite interesting and quirky with all the art displayed inside and outside of the rooms. Hot showers. Abundant towels.
- The quirky decor & succulents.
Cons -
- Mould in the bathroom. Something (glue?) oozing out of the Lino squares on the toilet floor. The microwave’s cord couldn’t reach the power point.
- Noisy resident with several barking dogs.
- This was described as quirky, let’s be honest it is run down and shabbyThe bed was soft and sagged in the middleThe bathroom was abyssmalThe gravel in the driveway was so noisy with cars coming and going until well after midnightThe complex was noisy with people talking loudly and guests dogs barking and whiningI would advise people not to stay here and it’s not a case of you pay for what you get because we have been touring Tassie and had motels same price or cheaper that were 100% better

The room had a microwave, fridge, kitchen utensils, plates etc. This made our stay much nicer as we could make a picnic and evening meals.
I liked the embience. Very laid back and chilled feeling.
Bathtub and shower together. Next time we would like to know if the rooms are in the ground floor or 1st floor. It was difficult for my mum to climb up the steps and also to take my luggages up
Peaceful ✌️ The pot plants and garden..... just like my mums...Mum passed away in July 2025....Some of the pot plants, cactus are just like hers.
The car parking
The room and also the attached bathroom was relatively spacious. Clean and comfortable. Each of the rooms seems to be individually decorated. It is on the edge of being a bit much for the more purist guest.
Fortunately, we did not travel by car; otherwise parking would have been REALLY tight. It seemed like the motel functions as long term accommodation for international students who study in Hobart. So, expect a bit of noise and chatter. Reception was poorly run: the person did not appear very knowledgeable. No one present in the morning when we checked out.
It was close to other areas.
The entrance and awkward parking areas were a challenge. Cluttered with planters and other small pieces of furniture, I guess to make it look kitch. Many plants were dead unfortunately. The staff did say we could park anywhere if we couldn't find a spot near the room. The bedsheets didn't look clean with a few stains.
It was clean and the bed was comfortable
They decor needs up dating badly out side looked like a tip shop the shower was cold even with just the hot tap on the great hole were the drain is if you stepped on it you'd break a foot and cut yourself with the broken tiles
Walking distance to town, clean sheets, air conditioning
The photos are nothing like what you arrive at, I thought maybe a bit quirky but it was more like motel meets tip shop
We had to check out early due to one of our our guests not wanting to stay, and Shenon handled our situation promptly, with one hundred percent grace & professionalism.
The car park was a bit chaotic, not leaving a spot for us to park near our rooms, but aside from that the location was excellent and overall a great spot to stay.
Quirky with great staff
Please invest in decent quality toilet paper
Shower, location, staff
Water mark/hole on ceiling roof, firm beds
Unusual, very arty, comfy motel....
Nothing!
Everything! No door on toilet only curtains, shower cubicle was concrete floor with odd tiles which didn't cover the base, tiles on wall were not appropriate for a shower and would be very hard to clean, as they were rough surface, door to bathroom area had been damaged, TV didn't work so had to contact front office who had to find another remote, paint job looked like a home job, picture on outside wall was a side view of a naked woman being held by a guy, two almost real size statues of a naked woman with one stuck to a wall, with one in particular with very prominent breasts, crockery not suitable with bowls were so small which couldn't even accommodate breakfast cereal, parking was ridiculous and had to park across the other side, as cars on both sides of our unit, left no space for our car, which was a small car. We booked for two nights but left after 1. As a woman I don't wish to be confronted by statues and pictures of naked women especially being with my partner.
Was lovely comfy place well done out comfortable bed indeed close to all the shops and parks will def stay again quiet loved the theme the colors all the cacuti and plants outside looked amazing so welcoming
was a loose tap in bathroom and cobwebs underneath small table in front of lounge .that bout it maybe some airfreshener in bathroom :)
Size of room. Close to town centre.
Noisy as it seemed permanent residence leave for work early so car noise heard early.
Quirky but comfortable.
Parking was a bit hap-hazard but it wasn’t a huge problem for me. I couldn’t get the aircon to work in my room.
