Pros +
- Set on the edge of an iconic township, with added attraction of Australia's second Z parkrun. parkrun is run on a beautiful fern lined trail. People were very friendly and welcoming.
- Everything is available on site. A comfy, spotless quiet room, a restaurant with great food available for all meals. I would class it more like a small club as it has bars, gaming rooms and a bottle shop. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The iga is right next door which is a bonus.
- Restaurant food excellent Good WiFi signal Comfortable bedQuiet roomFree parking Fridge in room
Cons -
- There was nothing we didn’t like.
- Bathroom a little outdated but certainly functional.
- Food in the bistro was fairly ordinary if you don't eat meat. No other options in town. Zeehan was a stop off point for us on the way to Strahan. The town appeared derelict except for mining. No feel of a community at all

Very quiet location, comfortable bed, and a good shower. Staff polite and helpful. Spotless room

Large room clean and recently refurbished modern good wifi and meals at the bistro was great
Large gap under front door
Good
No microwave or toaster, no bowls and plates
Unfortunately, we were only there for an hour before being evacuated due to severe bushfires close to the town. What we did see looked very nice, spacious and well organised. Would definitely book again if going that way.
Great spot to pull up after a work day, grab a hot shower, and knock the temp down on a hot day with the in room A/C. Bistro food and drink have good offerings, pork roast went down a treat with a couple of coldies.
The bright blue lighting is quite intense when still waking up especially in bathrooms,The TV reception isn't that great, TV lost signal for most of a news bulletin.

The rooms were clean and the hotel had a restaurant attached which was handy as it is hard to find a place to eat in Zeehan. It was only 3km from Zeehan Parkrun which is why we were there.
Breakfast was not available unless you order it the night before. This wasn’t really a problem though as they had an IGA right next door.
Good location in Zeehan, heaps of parking. Room was well set up and they offered room service from their restaurant which was good (satay pizza was very good).
Could easily hear people talking outside the room on the balcony. The chain lock on the door was broken and couldn’t be used which was a bit annoying as it snuck to have that sense of extra security.
Lovely central location, clean and tidy basic motel. Good value for the cost.
Great location, quiet, private, next to the IGA, on the main road, beautiful view and sunset out the back wall which was all window. The room staff and maintenance staff were fantastic, so efficient and caring and interested in making our stay so welcoming we want to stay there next trip. Good restaurant and obliging, friendly staff.
Staff were approachable and happy to help. Great location next to the IGA for snacks and grocery food.
The bed wasn’t quite for me. I that is really a subjective factor though :)
Friendly, welcoming staff with good, clear directions about room location and parking. After staying in little country town hotels (each excellent in their own way) walking into a large room with ensuite seemed like walking into heaven. Great views from large window. Restaurant was cheerful and served delicious meals. Try the battered scallops, yum.
Very comfy rooms, friendly and supportive staff. Convenient location to shops and flexible check out. Only half an hour away from Strahan.
The rooms are remarkably clean, some parts are a little dated but we enjoyed the experience. All the staff are awesome and only to happy to help with any requests. Definitely recommend ?
Nothing at all.
Wow! That view ! Once we opened the drapes and gazed out at that beautiful view with the lovely trees and mountain backdrop, this is the essence of Zeehan, and we could of just gazed at it all day. The room provided all the necessities for a comfortable overnight stay including several little toiletries and the meal we ordered from the Bistro/Restaurant was delicious and plentiful. We once again enjoyed our stay.
Theres nothing to dislike as far as we're concerned.
This is the type of hotel you stay in when your touring around. It was a basic room that was clean, with plenty of space for luggage and to spread out. Decent shower though the bathroom was looking a bit tired. There was no doorknob on the bathroom door! The hotel does meals in the evening and is quite busy so make sure you allow time before the kitchen closes at around 8pm. it's beside an IGA that closes around 7pm.Good for a night and that's probably as long as you'd stay.
When we checked in, we were given the keys to a room that hadn't been cleaned from the prior guest. I think this was an oversight but was quite a surprise to come into. This was rectified with a new room for us. There are a lot of miners who stay at the hotel on a full time basis, while they work in the mines so it can be a little noisy when they head off to work in the early morning, but not too bad.
From the 3x rooms all had nice decor although the bathrooms still need some work.Nice refreshing showers as we needed them on hot days. Also nice food and drink from the bistro.Good to see an A/C / Heat pump for every room.
Some bathrooms didnt have exhaust fans. Some lights were the blue type (not very inviting).WIFI was limited coverage wise, but good Telstra coverage and speed in town.
