Croydon Lodge Hotel

It's the second time we chose this property, and we enjoyed it as much as the first time.We spent to nights here, had breakfast and dinner, it was great.Downtown Gore is 3 minutes away by car, but the property has everything you need.

breakfast was poor coffee cold and milk run out. cereals not much range fruit was hard. didn't have breakfast the second morning because of the standard.

We pulled in late but were pleasantly surprised to have staff on the desk. The room was beautifully decorated and I suspect newly renovated with extremely comfortable beds. The staff were very friendly as well.

We wish we could have stayed to spend more time looking around. Gore.

Locations privacy relaxed country atmosphere. Great restaurant n pub

No internal access to bar or maybe we missed it

Nice clean room and very warm lovely shower and lady who checked me in on reception at 7 pm when I checked in was brilliant could nt do enough for me made me feel very welcome. Excellent service provided here. Lovely cooked breakfast in restaurant.

Could nt fault this place.

Staying at the Croydon always feels like an understated luxury. The rooms are well-designed and comfortable, and we had the most incredible sleep on the mattresses. There is adequate parking and the landscaping/gardens create a lovely atmosphere. My partner raved about the breakfast (I slept in - did I mention the mattresses?).

We arrived at the stated check-in time however our room wasn't ready. Fortunately, the receptionist arranged for us to use another room however our key card didn't work, so we can to trek back and forth across the property to get that fixed. We were short on time (we had to be somewhere shortly after) so it wasn't ideal, however, in the grand scheme of things, it was only a small logistical hiccup and the rest of the stay was delightful.

Close to location of Function, great parking, everything was clean and tidy.

Location and design

The breakfast was not good and the dinner menu was limited for vegetarians. We ate at the bar which was fun. We loved the grounds. The gardens were fantastic.

The shower was pathetic - no real pressure.There were no clear instructions as to how to operate the heat pump and when we had got that sorted the cleaners dropped the temperature down during the day which was sensible but we couldn't get it back to operate as we wanted it. A lot of fluffing around

The room was really clean fresh modern and the beds were really comfy

Unit was spacious, comfy bed, and had all the essentials required for a quick overnight stay

Modern room out the back and absolutely no noise whatsoever. Pleasant and highly recommend if not needing to be right in town.

The laundry near room 40 hasn’t been cleaned in weeks/months by the look of it and there were spider webs in the bathroom of room 40

Disappointing

Tv is terrible, hard to work as in finding channels, menu blank and poor instructions . Quality of picture was absolutely terrible, constant lines across the screen hard to watch . Left/ forgot my ph charger in room. Went back to get it same day, no where to be found. Feel like I was trying to convince them the charger was still in room but it was one thousand percent. Don’t like being looked at like a liar, end of day where is my charger ? House keeping ? New guests ? I was told that was not possible but I didn’t leave the charger plugged in a socket in an imaginary room ?

They let us in early as our room was available and gave us ice. Very pleasant staff!

There is no elevator to rooms.

Clean modern

No utensils or microwave bed was a bit cold blanket to thin

Location was out of town. But the lodge was in a lovely setting.Dinner there was very good.
