Enclosed balcony. Friendly staff.

The breakfast didn’t have any egg dishes.
The property is perfectly located in the center of Funchal, close to the main bus stations for tourist routes. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to any request.
Nothing every thing went good
Nice staff, room was nothing special but great if you only need to spend the night, I would raccomend! The receptionist helped me find another hotel for another night because this one was full
Victor met us to check in and he was beyond helpful. Daniella helped us with local questions the following morning, she was a delight. Emaunal helped me when I had food poising, overly supportive and went out of his way to make sure I was OK . However there was one staff member in our final night who was very difficult, made us spend 5e for a bottle of water even though I told him I'm not well, so didn't augur. He didn't Emaunal check out do we had to go back to get all the used towels, which was strange. The breakfast was basic and the first morning there wasn't enough bread and none the next. Hairdryer, remote etc have to be requested from reception no mirror or extras in the bedroom. Shower cubical is very small. Otherwise the staff made the stay good
Lack of facilities, location 15 mins from main attraction
Nice room with balconyThere is as well s roof terrace where you can sit and relaxThe toilet was clean but a bit oldI was on the 4th floor with the lift going up but not descending Very basic breakfastGood position
The stairs going down Toilet a bit old
Manuel from reception was incredibly nice and helpful. Good location. Paid parking in front of the hostel.
There were issues with the cleanness and there was a strange smell in the room.
Good location, comfortable beds, comfortable bathroom, quite a lot of space
This is not applicable to the property. Everything was fine.
Decorations on the corridors
Noise and broken facilites
The location is good and a walking distance from the old town and major attractions. The staff was very kind and understanding and quite attentive to my needs. The place is clean and generally comfortable for basic needs.
Wifi coverage is very poor, there was practically no signal in my room (4th floor). Every time I was there I was disconnected. To work I had to take my laptop and sit in the lobby or dining room on the first floor. I believe it is a very basic amenity for travelers, and that a place that offers touristic hospitality can and must easily and quickly solve this. The breakfast included was very poor - it included a non-fresh syrup made juice, milk, 2 cereal options, granola, bread, butter, jam and some fruit, cheese and sliced ham. For a vegetarian there's very little to eat but I believe it is true for non veggies too, this could have been easily improved with some eggs and fresh vegetables. For some reason there was no access to the rooftop (which is displayed on the property page), the door was constantly locked, a shame - cause most of the 6 days I was there - it was sunny.
not great
not as advertised online I left early and found other accommodation that was much better for around £100 more than I paid. asked hotel for a refund but no joy and booking.com wasn’t much help either.
I did like the location
I didn't like the room, everything was very old and the room wasn't good at all I ask for double bed and they give me single bed, my door room was opening during the night even when I looked.
The location is easy to reach by bus from the airport. The location is central, so one can reach restaurants, some tourist attractions on foot and there's not much elevation.
The hygiene in the room was awful. The floor was so dirty you could feel it underfoot. On the first day, I took off my shoes near the wardrobe and walked barefoot to the bed—a distance of maybe 2 meters. My soles were filthy afterward (I’ll attach a photo). The bed didn’t feel clean either; I found hair on it. The pillows were so bad that I ended up sleeping in the sleeping bag I brought with me for the entire week. The bathroom was no better. I ended up going to a store to buy disinfecting supplies to clean the main surfaces I needed to touch. The room itself had no windows, just wooden installations covering holes in the walls. This let in every possible noise. There wasn’t a single quiet moment, even at night. I’m not a light sleeper, but I had to wear headphones just to get any rest.Breakfast wasn’t worth it. It consisted of bread, some meat and cheese, and awful instant coffee. The bread was fresh and decent, but the hygiene was again an issue. After seeing how they washed the plates and cups—barely rinsing them—I started putting my bread on a tissue instead. The whole setup of the place was a joke. When you check in, they hand you a TV remote and towels. If you need fresh towels, you have to go to reception yourself. Why? Most of the reception staff avoided eye contact or any interaction, probably because they know about all the problems and don’t care. The one exception was a receptionist who always said "hi"—a small but welcome bit of positivity in an otherwise awful experience.Additionaly, the power was inconsistent in the room. Once I was charging my devices, the power would be on/off doesn't matter which socket I've used. So I even couldn't charge my phone properly and most probably have at least slightly damaged the battery with such poor power. In the end, if you choose this place for any reason, I recommend to have very low expectations and bring your own sleeping bag+wet wipes if you care about hygiene at least a...
Location was nice
No noise insulation from street or inside the hotel. E.g. there was a doorbell to ring the night reception, but when someone rang, I could hear it in my room.
The hotel was close to town, the staff were friendly and there was a good choice at breakfast.
I have no complaints.
Convenient and central location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good price for Funchal. Recently renovated. Breakfast and lunch available.
No soundproofing, loud noise from the main road outside day and night and construction site from early morning hours.Despite central location right next to the police station, dodgy park right outside full of drug users, doesn't feel safe if returning late at night.Room too dark.
location
very poor comfort, bathroom in poor condition, very poorly cleaned, basically no internet in the room
Good locationHousekeeping was greatHelpful stuff
No fridge No chairs Breakfast was good , but need to more positions of food or change it sometimes
Almost nothing
This hotel doesn't have conditions to be used and needs an urgent upgrade.I'm glad I didn't have to spend another hour in that place, with bad smells in the hallways, unhygienic room, and bathroom.During my stay I had unsolicited guests: Cockroaches! It's unacceptable on an island as beautiful as this one.
