Pros +
- Breakfast had some of the most diverse foods that I've seen. Included exotic fruits like passion fruit, dragonfruit, and guava, also had banana and papaya jam. Everything you would expect from breakfast and more. Great view of the ocean from the terrace. Dinner was great, although not included. Very close to the northwest attractions like Masca, Los Gigantes. I recommend visiting the natural pool Isla Cangrejo close by.

- Property has a rural feel being located in a banana plantation, yet is only a 10 minute walk to the town and the sea. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.Dinners were delicious and were excellent value compared to restaurants in the town.

We loved everything about this property
The hotel was everything expected, nice and quiet with everything as listed, Loved the bananas too.
The Wi-Fi was not great but we knew that from other reviews
Location views and unspoilt with Old Tenerife charm
We liked the view from our terrace, the pool and the thing that we had the chance to see a banana plantation. There were also free bananas for guests of the hotel, other than that it is a waste of money.
The hotel is more like an aging finca than a hotel and it needs a master refurbishment everywhere. It looks like you are in the 1990s, rusty doorhandles, holes on mosquito nets, lowest quality matress and on top of everything the shower was a catastrophe - not enough hot water and quite filthy, it seemed like it was not cleaned for months. Parasols on the pool were unstable and some of them dirtyAlso, it is quite far from the beach to go on foot... Don't stay there more than 2 days
Friendly staff, good facilities & nice rooms. Very peaceful setting.
The family owners go the extra mile to make the holiday special. Beautiful views from the large balcony. Lovely breakfast and watching the banana plants grow is mesmerising.
What's not to like.
The evening meal was very nice very good value 3 courses including bread €20 each.Breakfast choices great something different each day
Small hotel in a banana plantation. Quiet and tranquil. Staff very accommodating. Breakfast very adequate. All food looks fresh from on the grounds . The views from balcony (which is huge) are amazing. Short walk to beach and promenade. Walkable to a few restaurants in next town . It’s an older property so showers not perfect but that was a minor issue for me . I loved the place . Would return
Pleasant
No plug in hand basin. Shower was not thermostatically controlled resulting in scalding water/very cold. Bathroom toiletries were not replaced during stay. Milk pods were not replaced during stay. Food was mediocre
Food was excellent. A different buffet each morning and excellent meal in the evening even if only two alternatives each night.Room was well equipped with a beautiful view from the terrace. You could eat as many bananas as you wished.
The fact we had to leave. We actually returned 3 days later!!
The room was exceptional, not what we were expecting but it was high end. Lots of space in the bedroom and bathroom, fantastic bed, lovely furniture and the balcony was very big, with table and chairs and sun loungers. The outside area looked over the plantation, great sunset. Everything we needed included complimentary water in the fridge. We had an evening meal for one night, again lovely outdoor setting and breakfast was plenty full and varied. Really good couple of nights. Special thank you to Gisèle for an efficient and friendly check in and advice.
This is not the hotels fault but I would suggest if you have mobility issues don't walk through the plantation to the sea front. It took us (older, poor mobility) about 30 minutes and while we did arrive at a stunning sea front, again we found the walk rocky and troublesome, what we should have done was just got a taxi directly into the town. Taxies come directly onto the property and charge approx 10 euros into Alcalá
Loved the setting. And proximity to the beach and town of Alcalá.The peace and quiet. The breakfast was good and the staff were lovely
Loved the pool area but water was too cold. Would be the perfect destination if the pool was heated.
For what I wanted being away from some.of the full on resort towns was nice to get away and chill. And everyone going there were for similar experiences.Food was good, could have done with some variation on breakfast but all fresh and dinners I had were good.
Firstly I would say there needs to be a balance your staying at a rural hotel but still some things I would expect to be a little better or considered.Water pressure and heat of water was daily issue. Also a lot of flies especially at breakfast and on terrace.
Great location and quiet spot. Lovely balcony overlooking the sea
The food wasn’t to my taste - but I am a little fussy. Would have loved more fresh vegetables
Very nice variety of breakfast, with homemade juice. They use their own fresh produce from the farm. We had fresh eggs and bananas. They offer dinner, too.The room was nice and clean, with a large terrace. Good size of pool at the property. Great place to relax. We enjoyed our stay here.
Location was good if you had a car.Traditionalfriendly peacefulpool are big terrace with views
Being charged for tea/coffeeNo English TV, just cartoons and newsDidn't like limited menupoor shower
Peaceful location Very friendly and helpful owners and staffComfortable quiet room with lovely viewExcellent breakfast with freshly cooked dishesExcellent swimming poolLovely private pathways to access the seashoreClose to charming mostly unspoilt fishing village
The location was fantastic. Beautiful views over banana plantation to sea and island of La gomera. Very quiet. Nice pool. We would drive into alcala in the evening and eat then walk back (15 mins). Then walk in to the town along the coast path, spend the day swimming and drive back before repeating...Also worth driving up to tiede national Park and doing some marked walks. No need to pay to go all the way up or do orgainised excursions
