- Charm,, excellent location, staff very helpful
- Wonderful hotel in a great location in the old quarter of La Orotava. Very walkable. We were able to park on the street close to the hotel. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast at the hotel was generous and varied. The hotel rooftop is spectacular. We also ate dinner at the hotel, and it was delicious. La Orotava was beautiful, and the Hotel Rural Victoria was an excellent place to stay.
- Good breakfast options with staff asking if you want additional options such as scrambled or fried eggs. Towels and bedding are refreshed every day.
Cons -
- There was no heat

- The room did not have air conditioning but only a fan, this makes it uncomfortable for the warmer periods, the bathroom exhaust fan in the ceiling also wasn't working.

The view from the room and the rooftop was amazing - can see the mountain, town, and ocean! The hotel is historic and charming. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is also very convenient for accessing old town.
The building is old so sound insulation isn't the best when there are people talking loudly in the public area.
Nothing to dislike, possibly some milk sachets in fridge.Shame we didn’t get to try restaurant as it was closed Monday, which was the night we stayed.
It met all our expectations, but we only booked for one night: no opportunity to fully enjoy the terrace… We tried to return, but fully booked … for good reasons!
Great characterExcellent mattresCentral location in a very attractive, interesting town
Reception up to mid-day. entry using an app one needs to downloadRather difficult to find parking around the hotelNo fridgeA little pricy (depending on the period)
A hotel that's authentic, done with simplicity and very peaceful for a town location. Honestly refeshing to be in hotel which is not overdone and retains its well-earnt stylish age. Breakfast is very simple but ample - choices of fruits, breads, yoghurts, juices and offer of cooked eggs & bacon. I ate in the hotel's restaurant one evening and it was very tasty (check opening hours and days. It is displayed on the door).
For me personally the stay was exactly what I expected and more. I felt really at home and wanted a simple stay that was away from some of the more hussle bustle areas of Tenerife. I cannot recommend La Orotava enough. I used public transport all week, incl to/from Tenerife Sur airport. Parking in La Orotava could be challenging. The main La Orotava bus station is a fast 10, easy 15 min walk away (uphill on the way) for frequent walkers and you can go past both Botanical and Quinta Roja gardens en route. I took a taxi home one late night from Puerto de la Cruz centre which cost 17Euros.
Located in old part of town and staff very welcoming
Needed some updating
Breakfast was good.
Reception staff was nonexistent, loud music from the restaurant could easily be heard from our room. The window in the bathroom was broken, and at times it would fling open if we closed the bathroom door too quickly.
Not a place that’s as available and clean as communicated
the booking was confirmed but no one was at the reception and no one answered my call when I called them to ask for the parking info. Finally when I arrived to the place I used an emergency number the person on the line helped me but it cost me 3 minutes of call on roaming to organise the room. Finally arriving the room the room was cold, and the towels were dirty :(
Beautiful historical building, great location, very helpful staff
Parking on the street in front of hotel, minor repairs in the bathroom needed.
Hotel full of character, very helpful staff and superb location.
The coffee at breakfast, but the rest of the meal was very good.
Location was grest. Breakfast ok but not very varied
Room and bathroom need a little renewal
Very hospitable stuff, nice city, comfortable rooms, very delicious breakfast!
The whole atmosphere! The staff and room were warming and gracious; breakfast was great.
As a solo traveller only eating 1 breakfast it would have been nice to have a reduction - the room was expensive with no single rate.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The building itself is stunning, located in a beautiful and peaceful area, making it the perfect place to relax. The staff were incredibly helpful and always greeted us with a smile, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of fresh and tasty options, and the coffee was top-notch. We also had the chance to dine at the hotel’s restaurant, and the food was absolutely delicious—high-quality ingredients and great flavors.Overall, a fantastic experience, and I would definitely return!
Great location. Staff were nice.
Parking could be difficult. Breakfast was basic. Maybe it was an off week but the bread wasn’t as fresh as it could have been. The room was in need of a general tidy up (both windows had to be propped up as they were broken ets).
The accommodation is located in the old, historic part of La Orotava. It is elegant and beautiful both inside and outside. What truly makes it special are two things: the rooftop terrace, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the ocean, the mountains, and the charming buildings, and José—the receptionist, waiter, and all-around host. He is kind, professional, and serves wonderful breakfasts.
Beautiful spot. Lovely city. Good breakfast and evening meal in restaurant was delicious
