Comfort Hotel Yamagata

near station clean and good beakfast

Location was right across from the street of the station. Plenty of restaurants, and combini in the area for food. The breakfast was great, decent amount of options and some did change day to day.

The room and bathroom were a bit small- but normal for Japanese hotels.

Comfortable, clean and a good location

Location is close to the JR station, shopping and dining venues. The hotel was clean and comfortable with everything you need. Staff were friendly and efficient and spoke very good english and helpful. Laundry was available. Rooms are standard Japanese hotel rooms - economic on size but with everything you could possibly need. - Didn't pay for breakfast.

One elevator so can get a little crowded in the early morning rush hours or afternoon.

Excellent breakfast, kind staff, clean room, good parking suggestions

I liked everything - no complains

Nice amenities, enough space, very clean, good bathroom. Helpful staff with checking in and out.

Location close to JR station, shopping and dining venues. Provides good breakfast selections.

Tight room space, even solo traveller cannot fully open suitcase.

Breakfast was really good with plenty of choices. Also liked the nice coffee at the small cosy lounge.Location is absolutely convenient. Literally next to the train station and bus stop.

Breakfast and location. Delicious and plenty of food and drink choices. The location is just next to the Yamagata station, about 160-180 meters so easy to move around

Great location! Minutes walk from Yamagata train station. Didn't take too long even in the cold winter weather!

No complaints

Location excellent, staff excellent, breakfast excellent

Earlier check in

Value money hotel, clean room, nice & pretty counter staff, loving the breakfast, Cauliflower and potatoes ball was delicious. location was perfect, nearby JR yamagata station, beside the hotel is family mart & matsuya.

Location close to the train and bus station, room has all that is needed and is clean. Breakfast was good.

The majority of the staff could hardly speak English. Communication was difficult and I was misunderstood, causing me problems. As almost all guests were foreigners, there is need for improvement in this area

Great location - right by the train station and bus station. The breakfast was delicious every morning and the bed was super comfy. We couldn’t fault it.

Nothing - a great stay.

Great location, really close to station through the bridgeBreakfast included and lounge that opens until midnightComfortable bedThere's microwave in the lounge area

Small room sizeEarly check out timeStaff speak limited English No tea given during lounge periodThe coffee for breakfast is too bitter1 lift can be a bit slow during busy period

The location is excellent! A few minutes away from the station and fit in with our itinerary perfectly. We were able to get to Zao Onsen, Yamadera temple, Ginzan onsen very easily. The hotel room was great too, clean! We especially enjoyed our breakfast as well!

The room got a little stuffy but wasn’t a problem

Small but comfortable hotel. The room/bed was very small for two very tall people. We made do and just moved the furniture around and removed what we didn't need in the room. The bathroom was clean and seemed fairly new. Breakfast was simple but good, we just had to make sure we took a ticket the night before for the time we wanted to come to Breakfast. You are allocated just 20 minutes per sitting. It felt rushed but was just enough time.

20 minutes for breakfast

Clean and comfortable with everything you need and super close to the train station. Staff were friendly and efficient. Laundry available and breakfast provided too. Rooms are standard Japanese hotel rooms - economic on size but with everything you could possibly need!

Friendly staff and great location!

Only one small pillow provided, and several breakfast items were empty during breakfast hours

Passable

We booked two double rooms for a family of 4. The hotel provided a single pillow in each room. When I asked for two extra pillows I was told that the children couldn’t have pillows as they were for other guests.
