Pros +
- good for 1 quick night, free parking, clean sheets.
- by coincidence, this was the third Route-Inn hotel I've had and probably the best impression of all
- I was surprised to find out that the Hotel has its own Onsen, which guests can use for free! The Onsen facility is good, with lots of amendments in the male facility. It was a great experience! The breakfast facility is also free.
Cons -
- a bit old and smelly
- the location is a bit inconvenient if you don't have a car, but at least it makes up for it with a large liquor store right next door :)
- The location of the hotel is quite a long way from the station, perhaps about 20-30 minutes walk. There isn't much that can be done about that. A taxi from the station to the Hotel will cost around 1500 yen,

Cheap, Conbini near
Location not easy to reach without car
Comfy beds and a fair amount of room per unit. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast had a good variety of food to choose from.
The room's heater/air conditioning was a little noisy but not deal breaking.
Great location and friendly staff; also onsen bath was a nice touch.
The parking was limited, so we needed to park in the overflow lot.
Everything as expected. If you've ever stayed at a Route Inn or other similar hotel, everything will feel familiar and satisfactory. Nothing really negative to say about the property.
It's not very central in Tsuruoka, so depending on the purpose of your visit, that might be something to consider.Unfortunately the in-hotel restaurant is closed on weekends.
