Daiwa Roynet Hotel Yamagata Ekimae

(I accidentally wrote the review for a Tokyo Ryokan here, so I am rewriting it)polite staff, clean, quite but basic, but for the amount I paid (compared to Zao Onsen), this place is a good value.

I asked for a far-away-from-elevator room but I got a room right behind the elevators, luckily not too noisy the hotel is not far from the train station, but in a heavy snow storm, it was far. maybe there is a better way to get to hotel.

Very helpful stuff. Clean. Big shower/bath area.

If you get a room with a street view, the "miau miau" add banner across the street might be a bit annoying.

Location is perfect as its only a 3 minute walk from Yamagata station.Rooms feel quite new and fresh, and also of a good size. Plenty of places to relax as well in the room.

There was no choice for breakfast, and you had to choose only from a Japanese or Western set breakfast.A choice would be far better like is common at other Daiwa Roynet hotels.

The room is spacious, the toilet is big and clean.

Due to its location, it is difficult for the cars to queue up to enter the vertical car park in peak hours.

I loved the bathroom!

Hotel parking is quite expensive and you can’t go in out of the parking between 23:00 and 7:00

The room was spacious and very luxurious for the price. The shower room with bathtub was very comfortable. Late check-in was very easily done at a kiosk. Located conveniently close to Yamagata station.

Did not notice any negative during my one night stay

Location was extremely convenient to the Yamagata train station, which allowed us to easily reach the Risshakuji temple (Yamadera) while it was relatively cool in the morning, and still return to the hotel in time for checkout ?.

We stayed here partially because of the laundry facilities. These were busy so it took longer than anticipated but nevertheless these were helpful. We rented a car so it was very convenient to have on-site parking (which uses an interesting car-elevator system). It was also useful to be near the train station because of the many easy restaurant options it provided.

The staff was so kind and helpful. I had made a mistake in my reservation. Without noticing, I selected a room in the smoking area, the staff was so kind to accommodate us in a non smoking room. Everything was great!

The rooms were fantastic. Nice bathtub. The room was clean and sizable (for Japan).

I wouldn't have minded having nicer slippers but no complaints.

Value more than Cost. Very big room with big bathroom. We enjoy massage chair and onsen powder. If we plan to Yamagata , we will reserve this hotel again.

Close to JR station and highway bus center. The yonezawa beef restaurant on G/F is a gem. The guest room was huge with a very spacious bathroom.

Front desk personnel were friendly and courteous. They held our bags before check in and answered our questions. Beds were comfy and the room was clean. The bathroom was roomy with a separate rain shower and clean, shiny tub for soaking. We enjoyed the western style breakfast set in the restaurant below.Close to the Yamagata Train station (easily walkable)and a 7-11 convenience store is accessible through the first floor (street level) of the hotel. The hotel lobby and check in is on the 3rd floor.

Self check-in system a bit long winded and no real advantage over traditional reception desk, more of a gimmick than a benefit to the customer.

Beautiful hotel, stylish rooms and very, very clean! We loved our stay, ideal for a base when visiting Zao. There's also a 7-11 downstairs, and it's close to the JR station and many restaurants.

Very good location, rooms were a good size and the bathtub was great. Very modern hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Lifts stop at the 3rd floor (where reception is) every time, even when no one is there waiting as it stops regardless of whether someone has pressed the button. As there are only 3 lifts, we frequently had to wait.Laundry facilities only had 3 machines, there’s was a wait for them. They also did not dry clothes well at all.
