Hotel Metropolitan Morioka

Right next to Morioka Station, without need to exit.Friendly staff who assisted us to store our bags before the agreed check-in time, and moved them into our room.We were surprised to find that our rooms faced the train tracks and my train spotting son was thrilled!

Lovely staff, great location. I like the coffee dripper bags provided and the room was made-up daily.

There's no washing machine on site.

They told me the breakfast is 2000yen including tax per person in the email, but it's actually 2420yen when I pay for it, they didn't notice us the price is different before we ate the breakfast, they seems not welling to pay me back the money thay scammed, a very bad experience.I stayed for 3 nights and my plan did not including breakfast, so I keep asking them when should I pay for breakfast? I ask 4 times first time when I check-in, second time before eat the breakfast third time after I eat, forth time when I check-out.All the staff just keep telling me pay later, until I check-out they still didn't let me pay for it, so I ask them again, and it wasted me 20mins for them to check why I didn't pay for the meal...I I'm about to be late on shinkansen!!!!!Also I keep trying to book breakfast seat in advance, but they don't accept booking, so while we wait around 10mins I ask the staff how long we need to wait because it still gonna cost long time we would like to eat somewhere else. but he just tell us keep waiting in very formal way and walk away.They really need to be improve!!!!!!!

The rooms are convenient and clean. and the hotel is in the station There is a connection from the station to the hotel. There is a floor specifically for women.

There is no washing machine dryer If staying for several days and need to use Had to find a shop outside. The key is still the original form, not a key card.

We chose this hotel because it is next to Morioka station. When we arrived we realised it was actually adjoining which was a bonus. The hotel is very new and modern and exceptionally clean. We noticed that there was a section of rooms for female guests only with separate security access. Value for money given the location and facilities was fantastic.

Nothing could have been better. We had a great stay and would stay here again for sure.

I didn't join the breakfast at this hotel. We skip breakfast as the rule of our intermittent fasting.

The location of this hotel is close to the train station and able to access the shopping area and restaurants. My favorite of stay is the provided pillows which have 2 kinds, hard and soft pillows. The soft one made me feel better from neckache.

Room was larger than expected, with a great view of Mount Iwate when the clouds allowed, with a bright bathroom and powerful shower. Check-in is at 14.00, an hour or two earlier than at most hotels in Japan, and the location is unbeatable: the hotel is attached to the train station and next to local buses. It's also connected to a shopping centre, with a bakery that opens fast 07.00, meaning you can nip down and bring a breakfast back up to the comfort of your room. Staff speak English and are professional and pleasant.

Excellent location next to Morioka Station. The breakfast is also excellent; many of the ingredients are sourced locally from the Tohoku region. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay.

Location was perfect. Literally right next to the station and the building was quite spacious. Staff was also very friendly. Overall, exceptional value for money.

Room had a bit of a funky smell. Also found tiny bits of hardened dirt on the bed sheets.

Chinese restaurant on the fourth floor was good.Some floors have security access to proceed beyond the elevator.

Not modern as they are one of the oldest western style hotels in the capital city, and the upgrade in the future will be unlikely as the local population is dwindling fast. It's the sign of the times and locals accept the fate so if you are looking for super clean places, then you should book somewhere built more recently.

Room was very clean, hotel is perfectly located right next to the station and the staff is very good. Staff helped me to make a reservation for an onsen which was difficult to access. 10/10 for me.

The hotel was accessible through the train station. Very convenient as we stopped for 1 night on our way to Hokkaido.

It’s directly connected with JR Morioka and Fesan shopping mall, extremely convenient, and the lobby is also connected with a convenience store. Staff are friendly and professional. They have a ladies-only section. Very clean and well-maintained.

The breakfast was excellent - there were English translations on the food labels, there was a wide range of Japanese and Western food options, and there was a focus on showcasing dishes local to the area. The breakfast options changed daily and were of good quality.The room was comfortable, and featured additional beauty amenities for women. The women-only floor required an additional lock to enter, which made me feel very secure. The bathroom was a little larger than other business hotels.The location was excellent- right next to JR Morioka Station and connected to a shopping centre. Inside the room were some pamphlets with recommendations for local cafes and restaurants. These were very charming.Housekeeping staff were all very friendly. The free bottle of water every day was very appreciated.

The size of the room could be a bit larger to accommodate for luggage. Some staff at the front desk didn't seem comfortable speaking English, but they were very pleasant and I was able to do everything I needed to do.

The public toilets on the ground floor felt fairly unclean and old compared to the rest of the hotel.
