Hotel Metropolitan Akita

Stayed 1 night on 11 Npv 2025. Hotel is next to a shopping mall and JR Station. Very convenience and close to many good restaurant. Room price is very reasonable when I booked. I stayed at north wing on Premium floor. Bed ate comfortable and quiet. Room is super clean and has everything I need. Bathroom has both bath tub and Japanese shower facilities. Highly recommend this hotel.

All things required for comfort travel were there. Breakfast was very good even for a vegetarian like me.

The staff should speak and understand English. They did not.

It is so conveniently located. It is within minutes to the Akita JR station. A number of shopping malls are also within short reach.

The toilet is separated from the room floor by two to three steps. I find this quite dangerous when I went to pee during midnight.

the location. the cleanesss the room- all were perfect. eve the fact you have to pay for parking was Ok- we knew that before. fa

the staff- the first time in Japan that the people in the reception refused to help. I wanted them to help me with reservation in the same hotel network for the next city and they told me to try on web. ( in Japanese). all together they were not nice and welcoming.

Big and comfortable rooms and beds, clean and neatly designed lobby and other areas, also connected to the Akita Station's shopping area, as well as a starbucks and a convenience store.

This hotel is so conveniently located right next to the train station. It was easy to find. And even though next to the train station, the room was quiet. Nice amenities.

I usually enjoy hotel breakfast buffets. This one did not have as many Japanese side dishes as I have experienced at other hotels. It did have a lot of Chinese side dishes.

Stayed in the new wing so everything was spotless. Very nice bathroom, separate shower & big tub.

Nothing negative, just wished the architect thought about the room layout a little better. The 18 sqm. felt a bit cramped.

Very close to Akita Station, the room was large compared foreigner standards. The staff was professional and was able to suggest some local restaurants.

There was a gym, but you had to pay an additional fee.

Well situated next to Akita Train station with shops and restaurants. Clean and well-appointed rooms. Paid access to well-equipped commercial fitness club. Excellent breakfast buffet with great Western and Japanese food choices.

It is an amazing place. Very close to the JR station and downtown. Next door there are 2 shopping centers.

Near to JR station, well it actually right next to it...

We get the room which is not in the main building, where so far away to go to main building even for breakfast we have to go to 1st floor walk to the reception and transfer to 3rd floor for restaurant...

Excellent location adjacent to the Akita train station. Also easy walking distance to many Akita attractions and dining.

Great location linked directly to Akita Station, shopping and eateries and also very near to Senshu Park, the Art Museum and Arts Theatre.

The coin laundry machines do not work well. We had to reset the dryer 5 times, the final 2 times splitting our laundry to 2 machines and still they weren't completely dry. Our laundry took us nearly 5 hours to do and it was nearly 3am when we were done.

Directly connected to Akita station, the location could not be more perfect. The hotel room is large, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Extremely good value for money for a night stop, and I would consider it as an option for a longer stay if I'm in the area again.

The perfect hotel for people traveling by plane or train, literally just meters away from both Akita Station and the limousine-bus-stop from the airport. Clean, nice, high quality, with a good breakfast-buffet and a 7/11 right next door that's open 24/7.

Not the biggest fan of the bed, as I found it quite hard, but that's a recurring problem for me with hotel beds and not specific to just this hotel.

Location was right next to train station, so was really convenient for those who commute by train. We drove so not much of a difference actually. Shops and plenty to eat nearby. Rooms were in the North Wing so needed to walk a little.They were clean and comfortable, although could be bigger in size. Breakfast was excellent, had quite a big spread of items.

The lady at reception was not too friendly as she could not tell us the payment of carpark , we were expecting to park at hotel premise but due to limited number of carpark lots, we parked at the nearby shopping mall. As we could not understand her, it probably frustrated her and another counter staff came to help. So all good in the end.

Great location next to Akita JR Station, and right across the west bus station, connecting you to most of Akita City and prefecture. Staff were really accommodating and helpful, and went beyond expectations.
