The property was clean, in a quiet area, but close to entertainment and restaurants, and walkable all over.

Good location. There are many good restaurants nearby.

The room has musty smell.

Bicycle parking was available just outside under camera. Plenty of restaurants near by.

The hotel is a 15-minute walk from Akita mainline station. It is an easy walk on the flat. Google maps is essential.

Nice breakfast and ok for for one night. Nice staff.

Smelly blanket, very small room and bed rather small for two persons.

Room is more spacious than we expected. Nice public bath. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff.

Fantastic location with car parking. Business hotel but very clean and new. Bath house on ground floor. Breakfast is so so but for the price no complaints. Room and bed was comfortable and practical.

I had a very comfortable stay at Hotel KAN-RAKU. Staff were friendly and the room was attractively furnished and quiet. It was easy to relax here.I'm happy I finally got to stay here! I was due to travel to Akita in August last year, but for a number of reasons out of my control I was unable to. During this time, the staff were incredibly accommodating with my changing dates and eventual cancellation. When I had the chance to visit Akita again, I knew that I wanted to stay here as the staff had been so accommodating in the summer. I'm pleased to say that the staff here are just as welcoming and accommodating in person ☺️The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the station and Senshū Park, the Akita Museum of Art and the Akarenga-kan museum are all within walking distance making it a great base to explore Akita city.

The room was nice and clean, and staffs were friendly. The location was a bit far from the city center, but overall it was wonderful considering its price

The employee would not let me go to my room 15 minutes early as he showed me a sign that check in time was 3 pm.

close proximity to train stations. lots of restaurants in the area. I like the room size , we pay for a bit extra for bigger room but we get to open our big luggages in our room for packing after shopping is nice. I find Japanese hotels tend to be very small room size if you don't pay a bit extra for bigger rooms . by the way, hotel sign on the building is in Japanese words. if you can't read Japanese you might need a bit extra time to locate the hotel.

I wish they have more choices on breakfast. I saw on their website they have rice balls to offer only . so we didn't get the breakfast option. but nearby got plenty of restaurants, you could definitely find other breakfast options .

Breakfast was ok. Far from the city center, but there is a bus station near by.

It is very unfriendly for non- Japanese tourist. Even the name of the hotel is in Japanese only, you can not see it from far a way, have to come to the front door to read the English version, staff barely speaks English, but very polite.

Most unsatisfactory

The ridiculous price charged for a 2 star hotel along way from the station. I did not like sleeping with a large air conditioning unit above my body.

The location was quite handy to the city centre with interesting food options nearby including a craft brewhouse and tasty bakery.

You should consider pre-booking a car park space for the hotel as there is limited availability - however, plenty of parking providers nearby.

Wow. We stayed for one night after hotel-hopping quite a bit in Japan, and this place was immediately put on our list of favorite ones. Well maintained and super-clean and modern. The room had a large desk where you could work, really comfy bed, and the bathroom was spacious and clean.Breakfast area had such a nice and relaxed atmosphere.There was even a public bath available for the guests! Free of charge! I can't believe this was the cheapest hotel we stayed at. Such a wonderful hotel.

I'm sad we could not stay longer.

It was a great hotel and our room was very clean and comfortable,despite the location which was too far from the JR train station

The location was off the tourist map and the directions advised the premises were off the main road whereby it was on a main road and my husband and I passed the premises twice.I chose this hotel because it had parking outside but it was reserved for others and we had park in a paid parking lot next door. Also the name of the hotel was written in Japanese on the building only the main door had the name written in English

It was a nice hotel for the price, they offered to make up the room everyday and if you put a do not disturb sign, they would still provide you with a change of towels and trash bags. Check in was quick and the staff were very helpful. The sento was normal.

That the carpark was behind the Lawsons about 200m down the street. The hotel front is quite nondescript and easy to miss as well. I guess it would also be q a walk from the station for those who don't drive.
