Pros +
- location , river Nile
- Breakfast had plenty of variety, times were good, staff very helpful in helping us carry to beautiful location tables on grounds. There was a green snake outside our cottage on AC unit, we were relocated quickly. The AC in one of our cottages could not be fixed, so we were relocated to another cottage. Staff were responsive and very courteous.Pool was great, lifeguard was attentive, pool bar rarely staffed.
- Nice place, great location with nature
Cons -
- No battery in safe, at this time reconstruction of main building
- Fruit flies were hovering over the food; surely a hotel of this caliber could cover up the food? The food like katogo, was cold, not sure if they forgot to turn on the warmers. We ate lunch, mostly delish but took forever to be served. My daughter ordered dragon chicken but was disappointed and did not eat it. It would be nice to have pool activities e.g water aerobics, bingo etc.
- Stuff are very slow, if you order something it takes a long time to bring even the bill comes very slow

Missing some dishes
The location on the Nile.
We stayed at Jinja Nile Resort in June 2025 with a team of 30 international humanitarian volunteers. At 6:00 AM one morning, a hotel security guard escorted an intoxicated woman dressed in black lace to our private cabin and persistently knocked on our door for 10–15 minutes. We feared for our safety. The hotel later claimed this was a “mistaken room” and that some guests “request these girls.”Despite multiple requests, we never heard from the General Manager. Only a Food & Beverage Manager responded—offering a mere $40 discount for what was an extremely disturbing and dangerous incident. With 19 of our guests booked through Booking.com, this lack of accountability is unacceptable.
It’s spacious all round ( compound, rooms, swimming pool, gym). The tennis court is nice but needs new rackets and net properly hanged.
Facility is okay but lacks maintenance and poorly managed. Beddings are too old, inadequate sandles, drawers are old, saves are non functional, toilet door doesn’t close from the inside, bedside lights don’t work. Mosquitoes invasion in the night disturbs peaceful sleep, I shared this with management after the first day and no solution was given. This can be solved by using electric mosquitoes traps. They have a nice facility at their disposal but lack proper maintenance team. The facility needs face lifting and proper marketing on social media through influencers to sell out.
The guest service
Toilets/ changing room were not clean at the pool and spa( some of the time)
The lodge is very nice, but the accommodations are showing their age a bit… no convenient wall plugs for electronics, AC units likely need service, some fixtures are looking a bit worn…However, the staff were all quite friendly and responsive. Breakfast was decent, and the views are very good. This place could go from very good to excellent with a bit of maintenance and refurbishment.
-Landscape is just amazing.-The rooms were kept really clean for our entire stay. -I liked the pool and the pool bar.-Playground was meh for most people but it was just fine for us.-It’s good if you have a car, so you can go to nearby camps for activities.-The gym was really good.-We felt safe
-The shower handles and the bed light in our room(B9) would literally SHOCK us when we touched them. So you couldn’t adjust the temperature without an electric shock. It was reported and worked on but not fixed.-Food and drinks are waaaaay overpriced.-Breakfast was just bad.-The restaurant takes forever to bring your order, 1hr is the minimum you should expect to be served.-It was really boring, but that depends on your idea of fun. No activities, no entertainment, no spa and no access to the river. The spa was either under renovation or being constructed.-A lot of mosquitoes, We made complaints to fix our net but they kept promising but didn’t show up, we ended up buying a sewing kit and sewed it up ourselves.-The fridge was rusty
Absolutely beautiful location, good service and really kind and professional staff.
Welcoming staff members, great location, spacious rooms
It’s situated at an excellent place, next to the river, close to all activities. From the first moment you arrive we felt so welcome, such kind and helpful staff.Great restaurant, huge breakfast buffet and nice cozy bar at the pool.
Bringing down the suitcases from the lobby to our room. But the carrier helped us with it.
The location.
The food was horrendous, and late (90 minute wait) and i did not get what i ordered Buffet was dirty. Tables not clean. I was told that even though i had waited 90 minutes for food, i could not speak to a manager. In checking out, you get a bunch of individual receipts and not a coherent statement of what you ordered. To get to the hotel, you PDF thru a filthy slum. There are no restaurants nearby to escape to. Its a great location, but it's a poorly run dump with disgraceful service. Btw, to make things worse the staff's knowledge of English is very very poor.
Nice rooms with lovely setting and good breakfast Lovely staff
Food orders take so long ,we waited over an hour twice for poolside lunch orders
The location and the view
There was no water for a shower, The reception could not issue a proper invoice.
The rooms were spacious and clean. The landscaping and view of the River Nile was beautiful.
The staff were very unfriendly. They didn't care how one left the hotel, so we literally left with room keys. No courtesy greetings by staff. The payment mode was not flexible to accommodate international visitors. The limited food options, favoured more Indian cuisine. The entertainment option was just a DJ. No one shared any information in activities available within and around Jinja.
The view, swimming pool
Far to walk to the cottage
Standard service and good view
Not a tour agent friendly hotel
