    Pros +

    • The location of this hotel is superb! Secluded beaches with clear turquoise waters makes this a paradise for beach lovers. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There's some nice little spots around the hotel grounds where you can catch views of the moonlight on the ocean, which makes it a great place for couples looking for a quiet getaway.
    • Not much really. The pools are good and clean (apart from one outside Papagallos restaurant which has some tiles missing inside one side of the pool) but still one of the very few good things to talk about. The only really good thing about this property is the private and clean beach… that stands out (a better job can be done to make the staircase access to the beach more attractive). The people (except one waitress with an attitude) were very courteous and helpful. In particular l, Lucky who showed me around day 1 was very friendly and helpful. Victoria at the restaurant was a gem… despite the other concerns, her smile and outstanding service made the dining experience bearable.
    • Beautiful resort as such.

    Cons -

    • Some of the room facilities were lacking, rusty faucets and taps that dont really work well. It's pretty rustic which is not expected at this price
    • First impressions… rough driveway, grass overgrowth around the reception and cottages and a dull reception (looks abandoned). I was served the welcome drink in a plastic tumbler!! The walkways to the rooms were overgrown with grass and weeds, also with soil and sand after the rains. The cottages along the way are in poor condition and look abandoned. The beach suites are generally okay, spacious with a big bed, fairly comfortable furniture and a beautiful beach facing balcony. The beddings though smelled like they have been in storage for too long (not fresh). One of the bedsheets was torn and the bedcover was stained. The bathroom and shower were not well lit (despite raising the issue, the matter was not resolved by the time we checked out 4 days later). The restaurant close the the rooms/beach and the bar are not operational with the open restaurant being about a 5-8 minutes walk from the rooms. The food is basic and takes too long (a minimum of 45 mins wait… one of the days we waited for an hour despite being only two guests only at the restaurant… another case we had to call twice in one hour to be served at the poolside). The food options are very limited and quality is just average. All in all, until or unless the property seriously fixes the issues above, I do not recommend at all.
    • Disappointing breakfast. Very remote location and no easy solution except getting a rental car.

It's a massive property right on the beach, quiet and isolated, which is exactly what I was looking for. The territory is nice with a lot of monkeys running around and beautiful flora (palms, trees, cactuses). The chateaus are extremely spacious and comfortable. The pool is nice too. The hotel beach is all right but not great, at least there's no one to harass you and you can chill there, take sunbathes or even have a swim during the high tide. Diani beach, however, is just 30 mins drive away, so we went there instead. You would want to rent a car in Mombasa, which is quite cheap, because there's no public transport there and taxi may be quite expensive/unavailable. Driving from Mombasa, make sure you use the turn before the hotel. not pass it, as google maps suggest.

The territory looks very green on photos, but in reality it's all dried up which looks kinda sad. It sure takes a lot of water to keep all this territory green, but something needs to be done. The pool closes shortly after 6 whish was a massive bummer for me, because after hanging around Diani all day, I wanted to cool down in the pool but hardly had any time to do that. The restaurant is far from good too. I'm glad I didn't include breakfasts in my booking, I went there once and it was very poor. It's almost unbelievable how much better meals are in Diani for x0.7 price. Also, don't waste your time on Wasini island tour, it's a straight up scam. If you did any snorkeling anywhere in the world, you won't see anything new and will just loose a day on a super long travel back and forth.

The room was large and spacious , the Private beach was Lovely we walked to the coral garden and area of the beach where there was so many star fish of so many different colours .. the beach was quiet and the soft white amd soft .. its set over a large area and was beautiful to walk around , its set Away from main resorts so better to stock up on supplies of fruit snacks drinks. By we wanted a quite relaxing break and it was perfect for that. Also. Short walk to the Africa pool.. best to go when the tide is out to see and swimming .

Sadly the food and beverage side of things was poor. First night we went to eat and there were busy tables weren’t cleared the buffet was poor and there was no organisation .. we ordered Al a carte and waited over an hour and the food wasn’t great. We went again on our last night was only us and another coupe and still we waited 1and half hours.. again the food wasn’t great. I really hope they can get this side of things sorted out as it’s a real gem of a place in a beautiful spot.

Really nice quiet and remote place. Beautiful private beaches with options to do some nice little excursions with a local guide (recommended). Swimming pools were also nice. Also liked the restaurant very much.

Some facilities can use renovation but considering the price they ask this is reasonable.

The private access to ocean, the view from balcony and from hotel garden.

The place was outdated, the pool was not clean, the restaurant was dirty and options of choice was limited.

The place is nice and the location is super. The rooms are so spacious that they make you feel you're staying in a palace. The woman at the reception was extremely kind!

Breakfast was just ok, and the place in general would use a bit of strong maintenance, but well, the property is huge and it's not an easy task!

Fin pool stranden var nok det bedste alt det andet kunne være bedre

The staff When we arrived they told us we had breakfast included. We asked three times if it was real and they insisted it was there. When we check ID we have to pay for it and they say that breakfast was not included. They have cheated us and lied to us and those down at breakfast every morning gave us a big plate of food so we were completely unaware that breakfast was not included. It was a really bad experience. Subsequently, one of the employees writes to us because we had eaten dinner. When we had to pay, my card was rejected, something we didn't know and which they only know after we've left. Of course we would like to pay, but there is a huge fee for international bank transfers. Which we don't feel is fair as it is their huge mistake. It ends with the employee writing threatening messages to us on the Watch app and that she wants to seek us out. So uncomfortable never go to hillparke

Great big villas. Private beach without vendors. The ocean is 20 meters away. Amiable staff who try to help in every possible way. Special thanks for wishing me a happy birthday :)

Slow cooking and communication between staff. You have to wait about an hour for the order. Also, the quality of the dishes could be improved.

We have repeated many times, which says it all - the place, the beach, the people, the monkeys :-) Perfect place to unwind and relax

Pity that there is garbage in the bushes around the beaches

Nice place, big room, private beach. Breakfast was OK, restaurant available till 10pm. Nice staff. They will help to organize city trip to Mombasa or Wasini island. We had nice ocean view from balcony.

A bit of rubbish at the entrace to the beach.

It is a huge hotel complex with a privat beach and a nice pool. We enjoyed the huge apartment and the price-quality-ratio was very great! The apartment offeres a great comfort. It is a perfect place to calm down and to relax. It is very quite there.

We rented two apartments in this resort. Superior Villa and Two-Bedroom Villa. Both apartments were clean and equipped with kitchen and cooking facilities. The rooms are big and we had a very beautiful view of the sea and the garden. The staff were very kind and helpful. The pool area and restaurant were clean and tidy. It was not possible to use one of the pools. The restaurant staff prepared a very delicious fish for our evening dinner. Breakfast was buffet, brief and did not have much variety, but in my opinion, it was enough.

we had problems in the superior villa. The faucets in the bathrooms were broken and we showered with cold water. hot water was available in the kitchen but not in bathroom. Considering that we were on the fourth floor, the water pressure was low. But the friends in the two-bedroom villa did not have this problem and there is not elevator at this building.

Bed and room was OK, Balcony had fantastic views. Monkeys there are so cute!

They know what they did wrong, I promised not to publish it. Besides that, pool water was not so clean, breakfast was way below expectations, for such a resort one expects the breakfast to be at least a 3 star.

    5CarolynePosted on: 8-23-2024

The food was fairly okay and the staff were hospitable

Shower wasn't working, no hot shower, microwave was faulty, no electric kettle, the place is quite far from diani and there are zero activities at the beach unless you go to diani which is 45 mins away . There are no shops, ?. The other swimming pool is dirty.

    8StephenPosted on: 8-21-2024

The staff were great and friendly

The swimming pool looks like it needs some maintenance broken tiles exit difficult and slippery

The location of the hotel is very good, the place is quiet, two beautiful smaller beaches, you can swim in the ocean at high tide. They have two nice swimming pools. The garden is well maintained. Accommodation is very clean. Staff is nice.

The equipment of the cottage is a little run out. The food in the restaurant was not really good at the beginning, but got much better. No changes in variety of breakfast

    8SolveigPosted on: 8-13-2024

A quiet and nice place with only a few other visitors (we stayed at the resort for three nights in late July). We thought we had booked three standard rooms, but the ones we got were grand suites. From the square feet description of the room up front, I think this was what we had but we were still surprised and thrilled by how grand it felt. There were no buffet for the included breakfast. In stead we had to choose from an ala carte menu. This was also ok, but it took some tome from when we ordered to the food arrived.

No breakfast buffet, but ala carte menu for the included breakfast. It took some tome from when we ordered to the food arrived, but the quality and presentation of the food was really nice. The one night we ordered from the restaurant, it also took a looong time before we got the food. Over an hour from we ordered.
