Classic old hotel well located in the centre
Very noisy on the street... Take a room at the back if you want to sleep
Nothing! A dreary place which seems to have very few visitors.
The whole place was dark and dreary. My shower didn't work and the whole place felt run down. I regret staying there!@
Location nothing about this hotel was nice dated needs remodel, poor quality pay for upgrade ,but got no balcony, 4 different rooms ,yet all the same, very unpleasant stay,I complained for refund ,but all I got was sorry, worst hotel ever, could be good if updated, commercial cheap caroet
All of the above ,TERRIBLE
The hotel is centrally located and has some undeniable old-fashioned charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Our room looked out directly into the laundry room and had little natural light. A group of young people stayed in the hotel when we were there and they were quite loud in the middle of the night.
I was so happy to stay in one of the largest and more comfortables rooms the hotel has, not only the wide space for me to use but the balcony I had access to. From there I could spent some moments in the morning to have a view of Pereira's main roads in center ville. I enjoyed of a nice local breakfast everyday, pretty basic but enough to start your day as there are plenty of cafeterias and restaurants around. Also, the classic aspect of the entire hotel is beautiful and so pleasant to be surrounded by it. I want to highlight the accurate job of the cleaning and kitchen staff who were friendly, smiley and helpful at all times. An special mention to Jefferson, who is the barman at the Fondita, who I shared some words about the Colombian Coffee culture with. Another special mention goes to the senior waiter at lunch time who was always attentive, smiley, fast and keen to explain the lunch choices of the day. Ladies at reception also deserve a mention when at helping with check in or check out details. Hopefully the administration keeps them all for long time as they are remarkable professionals. Having the heart of ther city handy is the privilege of El Gran Hotel; bus stops, cafeterias, restaurants, souvenir shops, farmacies, fashion shops, malls and Plaza de Bolivar main square.
A desk in the room is necessary if guests need to do job with laptop computers. The shower head must be replaced for a new one as there is water spillage.
Location is great, the room is spacious.
It was very noisy as my room is facing the city centre and the windows do not close properly ans the door frame has a huge gap. With the life of Pereiran people, you’ll never get an early sleep here. In general it is clean but looks and smells old. My fridge was not connected to electricity and it would need to be moved around 2 meters to reach the nearest socket. I didn’t bother coz I didn’t need it.
Breakfast nice and fresh. Location great
It would be nice if the bar was open until late. I wanted to have a drink at 9 30 and they were closing.
Location.
They did not give us what we reserved through booking.com. We requested a change. But they refused.
The hotel is great, the facilities make your stay convenient. I like the old style and they take care of everything. The breakfast included is good.
Location is great
An old hotel that needs an update. The carpets are worn and stained. Additionally, their policy to add an additional person to the room after the reservation has been made is absurd. They charged me 80,000 extra pesos for my girlfriend to stay in the room, which is almost double the price for a night’s stay. They also treated her like an escort, which was extremely offensive.
Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, hot shower.
The location in the centre of town meant that it was quite noisy at night.
Classic, well kept and prerved hotel from 1938. Just stayed one night. Comfortable and very clean room. Towards an inner yard, so no noise. Pereira had a certain charm.

The entrance and location . Room size was very good . Breakfast was good .
It’s tired . There’s quite a few things that need fixing , the sink and toilet seat were unstable . The sink tap almost came apart in my hands . The shower leaked and the water pooled on the floor despite a drain being there . This potentially is hazardous . One of the hand rails by the stairs to the main door was unsteady .
Need much more variety in the breakfast & WARM too ( everyday was the food COLD )
Call Room service & frontdesk ask for service and didnt get it the same day, till the next day !!
The staff were kind and friendly. The room was clean and had everything we needed.
