Hotel Granbinario Tsuruga

The hotel was very clean and had everything we needed. It’s within walking distance of shops and restaurants. I didn’t book breakfast, but there’s a Starbucks conveniently located next door

Communication with staff was sometimes difficult due to limited English, but using a translation app helped. Most of the hotel staff were friendly, but one front desk attendant came across as rude when I asked to borrow an iron. He said there wasn’t one, even though I had seen a guest return it earlier. When I asked if it might be available soon, he simply replied 'no' without explanation. I believe it was more a language barrier than intentional rudeness

The hotel was big and modern, and that was also reflected on the room. It was spacious, with ample space for all your belongings. All the amenities were already in your room so that’s great. The bathroom was clean with a big bathtub. Location was great, only a few minutes from the station and neighboring shops and restaurants. The staff were attentive and friendly!

Good location, close to the station. We were travelling around so this was important for us.

It was a good functional hotel probably aimed for business travellers. A bar would have been handy or drink machine.

It was next to the station which meant it was easy to get a train to Kyoto. The breakfast was good, you had to pre-order what style you wanted. There was an ice machine on one of the floors. It is about half an hour walk to a famous shrine.

I don't like hotel's with carpets so I always take slippers. There is never enough wardrobe space or coat hooks in Japanese hotel's

The location was great, very convenient. The room was big and clean. There was a self-operated laundry, which was very easy to use. The breakfast was okay. The parking was appreciated.

One night the parking was full, and we had to find an alternative.

Disappointed of the services.

I needed to do the self-laundry. I first went to the reception to exchange for the 100 yen coins, telling the female staff that I needed the coins for the laundry machine. Immediately after that, I went straight to the laundry room but the machines were full. So, instead of waiting inside the laundry room (which had no seat and was not air-conditioned), i took my clothes and went back to the sofa and waited there at the lobby, which was only a few meters away from the laundry room.While I was waiting there, another customer stormed into the laundry room. I did not blame that customer because he should have no idea that I was waiting for the machine to finish the course. But the female staff observing the whole thing did not try or even offer to help by explaining to that customer that I had been waiting at the lobby.That was disappointing. I wish the staff should have volunteered to help so I didn't need to confront with that customer and got questioned and doubted by that customer for trying to jump the queue.

Clean and comfortable room in an excellent location.

When I asked for a 領収書 (receipt) they said the hotel didn't have them and to download a receipt from the website. My employer prefers a formal receipt for reimbursement.

Location. Is near the train station.Coins washer and dryer.Inside the room there is a steam closet. There’s a Starbucks next to the hotel .

The breakfast was very good, fresh ingredients n nicely presented. The location was good as it was close to the train station and there were many restaurants around.

It was difficult to climb onto the bed as one side was right next to the wall.

Located close to Tsuruga Station which was the purpose of our stay. Stay was reasonable. Hotel was clean, rooms quite small as expected.

We arrived late in the evening (11pm) and requested a late check out. The staff were not flexible and did not accept this request. They would only accept at a fee.

Location was good. Price was good. There is a Starbucks right next to the hotel!Staff were wonderful. Especially the lovely lady that worked the evening during our stay. She went out of her way, beyond her regular duties, to help us with the issue of our rental car. Unfortunately we did not get her name! We would like offer our sincere thanks to her!

Hotel provided on-site parking but with limited parking spaces. Discounted parking space are offered at nearby parking lots when hotel lot is full.

Cleanness in the room.Good smell in the public space.

The room was really spacious & clean, hotel located very close to Tsuruga station.

Nothing much, just feel it'll be nice to have more food options for breakfast.

- It was my second stay in Granbinario Tsuruga Hotel. Hotel is literally less than 5 min walk from the station. - Very friendly staff, very polite. Manned reception - so, no fighting with a "Japanese-speaking machine" to check in :) - All amenities are provided (toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, brush, ...).- Rooms are very clean, air-conditioned. Hotel itself is quite new (as of 2024, I think, it's only a couple of years old).By default, the rooms are cleaned daily. They have an option to waive cleaning (per day) - one gets then a voucher for free water bottle of a gift in the local gift store. BTW, each fourth day your room will be cleaned anyway.- One has to choose the time and the dishes for the breakfast the day before: then one gets a breakfast ticket at the reception. They have time slots and 3 standard breakfast types available. Breakfast types are: 2 Japanese-style (one with raw fish and one with cooked/fried fish - if you don't like fish, don't go for it!) and one European-style.

I liked it all. Really good hotel, with a reasonable size (for Japan) room.

Location is very close to the train station, and the nearby bookstore is also famous. Breakfast is basic. Free parking is limited, however, the hotel provide discount vouchure for the nearby paid carpark.

Luxury room and good quality breakfast. Very close to the train and bus station.

You select one of three options for breakfast (so no buffet). Personally, the breakfast was too small for me (but the quality was very good; very tasty)
