A lot of dust in my room.

Location is good.

Room was minuscule, mattress was uncomfortable, check-in was self-check-in, not enough staff available to assist in lobby, not enough elevators for such a large hotel — consequently,always full and often had to wait for another.

I hated this hotel

The bed was horrible, like sleeping on cardboard on top of concrete. The pillows were also flat and bad. Trying to get an elevator took forever. Didn't bother with breakfast as there was a very long line. Basically no parking at the hotel and we had to walk with our luggage several blocks, some parts without a sidewalk. The sheer amount of people around was overwhelming. It was too hot in the room and the window only opened a crack. I would not stay here again.

Large Spa Bath, indoor pool and gym facilities on 2nd floor are sensational. Wonderful Niigata city view (day & night) from our room on top floor.After a warm spa bath in a spacious comfortable bed, we had a sound sleep until sunrise.

Actual distance to the hotel from the station is short but hard to walk because of a congested streets condition. A shuttle service can be provided. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was unpleasant: waited in line for 20 minutes just to get in and also the restaurant was very congested and exhausting to have a decent meal. Breakfast hours should be divided in 2-3 shifts.

Great location

Rooms were too small, even with queen bed being 6’8

Breakfast was ok, I don't complain about it at all, because I am Muslim and I don't expect that Hotel specially cater Halal food for me. I was more than happy to have white rice, boiled corn, steamed fish and Miso soup. Miso soup was greatly oishikatta :)

We stayed at your hotel on our way to Wakannai, Hokkaido. We started our journey from Osaka, and thought staying at APA Hotel could bring us comfort and we could relax and woke up energetic and genki. The main purpose of stopping at Niigata was to have a good sleep, however the bed and mattress of the bed made it terribly awful for both of us (me and my brother) even though we have 2 separate single beds but both of woke up with same complain that the bed was third class, sleeping on those beds was the worst part of our trip from Osaka to Wakannai. It was not a Japanese standard I used to have. You must check what is going on wrong with the quality of bed there. It was such a disappointment for me as I am a volunteer ambassador of APA Hotel group, and I am one of the person who always recommend my friends, family, colleagues and whoever I know is planning to go to Japan from Singapore, USA, Canada, Dubai, Qatar, Malaysia or Pakistan. I have recommended all of my family & friends to stay at APA hotel whether it be Tokyo, Osaka, or anywhere else, because I know staying at APA hotel is not only value for money but honestly it is a good experience. However, I was not expecting that my own stay would become a nightmare for me. I am extremely disappointed. Now I am back to Singapore and thinking about my whole trip, everything I recall is amazing but the only thing I regret is staying at APA Hotel & Resort Niigata. I don't like to write feedback on social media or google, I am writing you here to look into it seriously, otherwise volunteer ambassadors of APA Hotel like me, would never recommend APA hotel to anyone, let alone staying myself.

Convenience store is in the same building.

The cleaners are super nice but some workers have body odor and made us sick. Pretty sure other workers know that. Please use deodorant.

The public bath area was really gorgeous! It was very spatial and with many different pools to enjoy. The check-in and check-out procedure were super smooth and easy too.

The size of the room was definitely a too small, and it felt not comfortable to stay in the room for too long.

Cleaning was very good and the staff in general was exceptionally nicer than in others APA hotels, doing very well at accommodating all requests.Checking in was fast for such a big hotel with lots of people checking in simultaneously.

A modern and clean hotel with lots of amenities (microwaves, ice machines, coin laundry, etc). Lawsons right in the main lobby. Rooms were well-stocked with slippers, robes, and personal care amenities. These were replenished/replaced daily. The 1-double bed room was a little small by Western standards but we were okay with it. The 2-double bed rooms were spacious and had room for an armchair and side table in addition to the desk/fridge area. Lots of space for our suitcases too. Very comfy beds. The onsen was gorgeous and large, with lots of capacity for guests, and they also indicate on the room tv's the level of "crowding" in the onsen, so you can wait for a quieter time if you wish. Japanese buffet breakfast was included with our stay. This was our first experience with Japanese breakfast items and we found the variety of breakfast items to be exceptional, tasty, and fresh. Niigata rice was made right there and it is the best! I also loved the location of this hotel, being able to walk to the shopping area and a few local sights (miso brewery, sake brewery).

It's a big hotel and elevators were sometimes crowded.

Good location

Too small in room size, no free parking service, no window view (painted window), charge rather high at price. Crowded lift & wait for too long for lift service (more than 5 mins). No free parking service.

The hotel was clean, and the location was excellent. The staff were helpful and made every effort to assist.

My disappointment with the mattresses during my recent stay stems from my long-standing loyalty to APA Hotels. I have been a customer for over 10 years, drawn to their affordability, cleanliness, and comfort. However, during this stay, I experienced back pain for the first time in a hotel due to the poor quality of the mattresses. I am overweight, but this has never affected my comfort in hotel beds before. The mattresses appeared to be foam, and the bed was on a metal frame. After lying down for just a few minutes, I began to feel the metal frame pressing against my back, which caused significant discomfort. The staff kindly provided me with six or seven towels to place under the mattress, which alleviated the pressure from the metal frame. Unfortunately, this made the bed feel as hard as sleeping on the floor.The next day, the staff graciously moved me to a room with a better mattress and offered an extra mattress cover for added support. My comfort improved for the second day, but by the third night, the mattress felt hard again, almost like lying on a wooden surface. I had originally planned to stay for four nights, but due to worsening back pain, I decided to check out a night early to avoid injuring my back further. I hope the management at APA Hotels will reconsider their choice of mattresses, as they may not be suitable for larger or heavier guests.

Rooms are not big

This hotel is in a great location. It's within walking distance to Niigata train station, or just a short walk to a bus stop that's only one stop away from the train station. The bus stop also provides access to other areas of the city. There are many restaurants and shops near the train station, making it very convenient. There's also a convenience store right in the hotel lobby.

The room is a bit small, but considering the price, it’s acceptable. The scent of the body wash and shampoo is fine individually, but when mixed together, they unexpectedly produce a fishy smell. It is recommended to use products with a matching fragrance.

During the night the Air conditioner automatically shuts off. The hotel controls the temperature. The room becomes hot and stuffy and uncomfortable.

It was an amazing hotel close to Niigata station and there are buses just a few steps from HotelStaff were amazing and kindRoom was very big we stayed 7 days first time and then returned back to hotel after visiting Sado island but second time they gave us a tiny room and bathroom was dirty BUT they corrected it and gave us another room which was cleanthank you
