Excellent food at the breakfast restaurant. Kind staff at the front desk. Free parking for IHG members. Great location, close to many shops and restaurants in the vicinity.

The staff was exceptionally professional in spite of the language challenges. I do not know Japanese but the staff made great efforts to communicate and support my needs.

The front desk charged me $70 for breakfast when I was told it was included.

Location, location, location. Did not know the city well, decided to take a 3D2N trip to look around Niigata and sample the local food and Japanese sake. The hotel did not disappoint. Great staff, professional and warm and the rooms were newly renovated so they look modern and comfortable and welcoming. Had a good rest. Slept well.

The areas that weren't freshly renovated look their age. The better restaurants (including the one in the hotel) requires advanced reservation.

The breakfast was excellent with high quality and varied options for both Japanese and western style.

Only a room with two twin beds was available. There is ample space for two full or double beds. Twin beds are for kids, not overgrown men. Did not sleep comfortably.

Breakfast selection was limited.

Exceptionally clean: rooms, windows, hallways, literally spotless. Hotel staff is very friendly, helpful and professional.Breakfast is one of the best I ever had in a hotel with a huge variety of freshly cooked food, both japanese and western style breakfast. Offers local Niigata produce (like youghurt), which is great to experience. Absolutely amazing and very tasty.Kura restaurant offers amazing variety. A bit on the expensive sidez but has great range of courses to choose from.The location is 11 minutes away walk from Niigata station, but very close to Lovela shopping mall, and multiple conbinis. Great for taking a stroll to the river embankment.I'm extremely pleased with my stay, and can't express enough gratitude to the staff. Keep on keeping on!

Great location close by the train station for access, and centrally located within walking distance of many local attractions and places to visit?Well worth spending a bit more for a room with a river view too !

The staff were very good. We had an excellent Tepanyaki dinner and the chef was very good.But bathroom very small

I was extremely satisfied with my stay here! The staff checking me in were very personable and provided local recommendations. I also needed to catch the jetfoil in the morning, and they gave advice on when to leave and even helped us reserve a taxi for the morning. The room itself was spacious with a big window and had deluxe amenities upon request (via their sleep menu, we requested a humidifier, room aroma, and a firm pillow). The breakfast buffet was another highlight for me, as they offered three different types of Niigata specialty rice to try and a broad range of many healthy and delicious options. Overall, I wish all of my hotel experiences could be as satisfying as this one.

Convenient location, clean, attentive staff, quiet

Spouse said bed was not firm enough. It was fine for me. Would have been helpful to have a map of eateries & tourist attractions in surrounding areas

This is our 6th stay at this property, and we are always impressed with the staff, the breakfast, and the renovated rooms are fantastic. Great for a business stay.

Need a luggage stand.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. When we were checking out, we needed a cart to help take all our luggage down so I called front desk and they sent over a staff with a cart immediately who loaded all our luggage for us and put them in my car. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were nice with a touch of Japanese essence. We ate dinner at the buffet on the first floor which was also excellent. It's great to have facilities inside the hotel especially on cold Niigata days. If I stay again, I would use their gym facilities which looked well equipped.

Nothing bad to say.

The hotel was very handy to all that Niigata has to offer. It's a short walk to the train station and a lot of the most popular sites, and also isn't too far from the river and the Sado Island ferry terminal. The staff was wonderful and welcoming. Numerous great restaurants, including a lovely bar on the top floor with great views of the city.

The hotel is showing its age a little bit in places. It doesn't have a swimming pool, which would have been nice.

The hotel provides eye masks, bath salts and even a fabric spray! Very impressed with the attention to small details which make the stay more pleasant. I also like that the housekeeping doesn't move your things around when making up the room.Good location near the train station, shopping area and the ferry terminal so walkable everywhere!

The room is a bit small with one side of the bed pushed against the wall.

Expensives restaurant, overvalued

Location. Staff are good.

The hotel is expensive but very old. Everything is old and even the toilet comes across as faulty.

This is a very convenient location for those coming and going by train. Well located to walk to most of the inner city locations near the station. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast service and options were exceptional.

The breakfast was good with wide selection spanning both Japanese and western. Parking was free for IHG member which was a pleasant surprise, and the parking lot was very convenient to access (although a bit confusing at first entry because of the one-way streets). The staff was very friendly and offered to help without needing to be asked, and can communicate adequately in English.

I wish the Japanese selection at breakfast was more, and the curry could be with other meat or vegetarian as I don't take beef. The corner at the Japanese line was a bit small and gets really crowded.
