Great view from the room, great location by the Haihe River, great breakfast, friendly staff and nice tennis courts

Room was fantastic and we were upgraded to a suite which was beyond our expectation. Breakfast was great and offered a variety of food but the international selection, I think was ok only. Location wise was quite good and a short walk from the subway. It was also next to a shopping mall which had a number of eateries and shops. However it seem business was not vey good during the period of our stay.

I recently had the privilege of staying at the Shangri-La Hotel in Tianjin, and it was an unforgettable experience in every way. The hotel truly stands out for its attention to detail, luxurious accommodations, and world-class service.I stayed in one of the hotel’s suites, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The suite was incredibly spacious, beautifully furnished, and provided breathtaking views of the Hai River and Tianjin’s skyline. Every detail, from the plush bedding to the luxurious bathroom, was designed with comfort and elegance in mind. The suite also featured modern amenities that made my stay both comfortable and convenient.One of the true highlights of staying in a suite at the Shangri-La Tianjin is the access to the exclusive Horizon Club. This private space offers an oasis of calm and relaxation. Whether for a quiet breakfast, afternoon tea, or evening cocktails, the Horizon Club provides a peaceful and elegant setting to unwind. The personalized service in this lounge was exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to make every moment special.The dining experience at the Shangri-La Tianjin is equally impressive. I had the pleasure of dining at their restaurant, which is renowned for its original Beijing duck. The quality and authenticity of the dish were outstanding, rivaling even some of the most famous restaurants in Beijing. The crisp skin and tender, flavorful meat were simply perfection, and the presentation was equally stunning. The restaurant's other offerings were also of the highest standard, with a wide variety of dishes to suit any palate.Throughout my stay, the service was impeccable. From the moment I checked in until the time I left, every member of the staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. It’s clear that the Shangri-La Tianjin is committed to providing a five-star experience in every aspect, and they certainly exceeded my expectations.

Club lounge was very comfortable with great views. Beds were also very comfortable. The men’s sauna area had a nice resting area. The breakfast was extensive on level 1.

The housekeeping missed items of trash left untouched for 2 days that should have been picked up if they looked just a little beyond the immediate walk path around the bed. Didn’t instill confidence in the way they turn over rooms between guests. Men’s spa area smelled strongly of mildew. The hot tub also had a slimey build up on the tiles under the water. They don’t seem to regulate the smoking area closely so the whole room smelled of cigarette smoke.

Food was not proper and there is not much of a variety.All services are over by 11 except the room service, so not much to do by the night.And tennis courts were like ruins, that was the only reason I booked for this hotel and it was quite disappointing to see a 5-star franchise has these neglected facilities.

the location is excellent as it is close by the Haihe river and tourist attractions such as Wudadao. From the room one can have a bird eye's view of the skyline of Tianjin, which is especially delightful at night.

The breakfast is not ideal; the selection is mediocre at best and lack highlights. The crepe dish, which is supposed to be specialty Tianjing breakfast dish, is tasteless.

good location, not far from metro station and train station, a large full functional shopping mall just next to the hotel.

good location indeed. Not far from the Tianjin train station. good view to the Haihe River, nice day time busy inner city and super fun lights show at the night. Free parking facilities on the ground or under grand in the parking lot. some very good shopping centres around hotel. the river view place shopping centre is just located next to the hotel in walking distance.

I think most of things need to be improved.it’s not the problem of specific part, seem like the whole system need to be re-training or need to be fixed. I don’t wanna say the hotel only call Shangri-la but full service just like a express motel. People pay that price need to be treated like Shangri-la customer. If this service standard is your hotel’s general service standard I will say it is really lower than normal 5 stars hotel service standard and sometimes even lower than the some of the small business hotel.

The hotel room is very comfortable. The Horizon Lounge is always a pleasant experience.

The reception received was not as warm and welcoming as it usually is (it's my third stay at a Shangri-la in 8 months). The breakfast buffet was also not nearly as comprehensive as it was before. On previous visits, I was really made to feel welcomed but this time felt colder than usual. I was disappointed to discover, upon arrival, that I had only been booked for one breakfast. The application only asked if I wanted to include breakfast but not how many. However, after having my one breakfast, I am happy that I did not spend the money on the buffet for every morning that I was booked there for, as I was greatly disappointed to see how small the buffet had become from what it was less than a year before.

Located only 5 minutes from railway station and close enough to tourist attractions. The view was fantastic and staff is very helpful and friendly.

We had the panoramic view on the 27th floor, but unfortunately our room smelled of cigarette smoke.

What a relaxing, well-appointed hotel! The breakfast buffet is crazy huge with so many options. The room was very nice, the bed comfortable, the view was fabulous, and the location was great for getting out to see everything in Tianjin.The staff was very attentive and helped make arrangements and gave recommendations to make our trip wonderful.

On arrival the check in was straightforward & quick, by a lady called Dora who was very polite & helpful.The room was spacious & very clean. The shower was awesome & the bed was very comfy. The blackout blind was great for the night time?. The view from our room was great as well.We forgot a couple of things, and within minutes they had bought it to the room. Fab stay, I would definitely recommend!

Nothing to complain about for our first stay!

The place was easy to get to. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel is conveniently located next to a mall. Apartment view was top notch as well. We will definitely come again!

The check in procedure was a little long but that's only due to COVID regulations so it wasn't a complete inconvenience for us. This is nitpicking cause otherwise, I have no complaints!
