Holiday Inn Express Lanzhou New Area By IHG

A very nice hotel, super clean, economical, and with extremely kind staff. Nobody speaks English, except for one single employee, who is stretched thin between this hotel and the adjacent Crown Plaza, so be patient if you need something, because they will need to fetch her to help.We loved the crispy bed linen, so cool and comfortable to sleep!Breakfast had many options, and was very satisfying. Finally, they personally drove us to the airport, which was extremely kind. Totally recommended

The only annoyance is that the laundry room washing machine can only be activated via We Chat. However much people claim that foreigners can use the app, it is absolutely not so easy to find someone to "guarantee" your registration when you are just a tourist, so no, foreign tourists cannot really use WeChat or any other Chinese apps, and we faced similar little obstructions on a daily level. This laundry service was just one of them.

Good

There is no wardrobe or drawer in the room. No place to put your clother for weekly staying.Breakfast is not continental.

-clean nice smelling room and bathroom. Spacious-water pressure is strong and hot-pleasant and cheerful staffs from housekeeping and buffet breakfast-special mention miss Anna from reception, who went extra mile when I needed help with -also special mention to customer service agent Mr Xiju from booking.com China branch, who replied promptly, professionally and help to my queries-nice buffet spread which includes beef noodles cooked on the spot-nothing to pick negatively about this hotel-how can I not choose to come back if I have the chance again?

Nothing really

The location was quite a distance from anything I wanted to do or see. It is in a new area that is still developing. At the moment it is an “airport” hotel. But a very good one.But the best thing was meeting Derek who was wonderful in devising an itinerary for Gansu province for me. He booked trains, flights and hotels for me. This was wonderful good luck that he was there to help me. Gansu is really worth seeing but not easy to negotiate for a single western tourist

The staff were super helpful. We needed to take some kids for early morning physical checkups, so no solid food was allowed before that but the staff helped to arrange prepackaged lunch boxes to take onto tue journey. I also liked the location for being so close to the airport.

Very nice hotel. The personal was extremely helpful. Thank you very much for the incredible friendliness and service!
