ibis Styles - Nairobi, Westlands

Room is nice and modern. Yes it is small like other reviews said but fits two adults cozily. Breakfast was incredible and staff was really professional. Did the job for an overnight stay after a long flight to start safari the next AM early

Nothing. Excellent hotel for the price point

My room did not have water, and no body cared to address it.

Room was very clean and comfortable.Breakfast was above average.

Our initial room was very tiny and not fit for couples.

The room is neat. What I wasn't comfortable with is the issue of additional charge for a guest. It was my first experience!

A charge on a guest

The location was perfect and close to lots of good restaurants. The staff were very nice and friendly.

Great food and security. Great value. Rooftop bar and restaurant spectacular. Staff are spectacular. Close proximity to malls and Brew Pubs.

Rooms are small and have no closets. Lots of construction in the area and sidewalks are all torn up.

It was great to have a gym and access to restaurants/cafe. The rooms were also clean and well equipped.

It would have been nice to have a little more storage space.

Breakfast

The staff, especially a specific receptionist, wasn’t courteous. My first time and no information on where to find stuff. Like gym, WiFi connection, where to go for breakfast or other meals. The room was tiny.

Room too small. Three beds. Two very uncomfortable chairs, very small table. Hardly no room in the bathroom.

The main lobby entrance was stunning, along with the chocolatier shop and the upstairs restaurants. The front desk staff were super friendly & a highlight. Very strong AC & water pressure.

We felt very unsafe in the immediate streets around the hotel & we were warned by staff to not be there after 6pm. Unfortunately our room was a big let down - it was down several back hallway passages that wouldn’t light up until you entered them & felt like you were walking into a murder mystery. Our “city view” was the hotel wall unless you physically crammed yourself into the furthest possible corner to look out. Entire interior of room was very dated/worn/not unkept. We expected tiny but we were hoping to feel comfortable in it. When it’s that grubby/worn on top of being micro then it’s uncomfortable.

Was called twice in the middle of the night for a room service I had not ordered and woken up. No apologies, just the phone placed down when I informed them it was not my room.

Everything was nice, especially the location. The hotel looks new and there was cafe at the ground floor and even a restaurant.

It's just that the room was a bit cramped especially since there were three of us and a lot of luggage. I could hardly open mine. Also, there was no side table to put glasses or small bags, we had to put all of these on the floor.

Secure and very clean hotel with good helpful staff. Nice restaurant and casual bar to relax in the evening

We opted for room only so I cannot comment on the breakfast, however, I liked the option that we could get coffee on the go since we had early pickups from the hotel. Staff was really helpful, security made us feel very safe and the hotel was very clean and modern.

Room size is very very small....making fool of the customers and super slow service in dinner.

My room at the Ibis was wonderful room with a queen sized bed, a table that could double as a desk, and 2 stools. The showers were wonderful and hot, and the food at the hotel was exceptional! Westlands is a very safe area to stay, and the hotel staff are so welcoming and friendly. You will truly enjoy staying at this hotel! I felt safe, and the area is safe. Truly a great place to stay!

The only negative was that the hotel is undergoing renovations, so it might be a bit more noise than usual. I stayed on the 6th floor, and the hallway outside of my room definitely needed a coat of paint, but the room was beautiful.
