Pros +
- The staff was great and did everything to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. Going beyond their call of duty. A big thank you to them. Especially Kate/Kathy.Our issues are/was that all rooms do not have AC, and the elevator is way too small.
- Staffs are very good
- We stayed here for one night between flights. It was an excellent property, with comfortable rooms, pleasant staff and a good breakfast. The property is some way form center of Nairobi, but esy to get a taxi
Cons -
- The incense in the lobby is way too strong.
- This was my second time staying at this hotel. The first time everything was excellent.During my second stay, there were mosquitoes in my room. When I informed the reception, they immediately took action and sprayed to remove them, solving the issue right away.So this is not a complaint, but actually a compliment.
- Sewer smell. I think the wax ring at the base of the toilet needs changed so it is leaking a lot of sewer smell. Mattress needs changing. Felt like a could feel the springs.

Location. Room large. Good price.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were fantastic. Very big with a sitting area. I felt very comfortable in my room. The bathroom was really nice. There were places to charge your phone. And I even had a chance to go to the gym for a workout on the treadmill. And the breakfast was great. Lots of different varieties every morning. I got very full each day. And of course the staff was wonderful.
The location is not that great. But you can get Uber to take you anywhere. And what they don’t tell you is that Uber is very, very, cheap. I don’t think I spent more than 5 dollars for any Uber rides. And some of those rides were more than 30 minutes. So no need to rent a car there.
The rooms were luxurious, the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and helpful. This was my second time staying and I’ll definitely go back! Make sure to check out the rooftop!
Decent price , clean facilities and good breakfast Huge room!
Family room doesn’t have air-conditioning
Fantastic value. Delicious breakfast included. Wonderful service from the staff. Waiter even volunteered to take us to the rooftop deck (which we didn't know existed) and were able to see fantastic views of Nairobi!
Clean rooms, friendly staff. Comfortable.
No microwave.
The amenities are really great for the price & it's relatively close to the airport. But most importantly the restaurant/food service is exceptionally good. The sauced wings are to die for. Definitely get the breakfast if you're hesitating.
The hotel in my opinion is catered towards a short stay, & only a short stay. There's not alot to see or do within the hotel. & it's even less visitor-friendly outside it.The neigborhood is not tourist-friendly to say the least. It's not really the hotel's fault, or is it something it could necessarily control, but the neighborhood is really not walkable or safe in my opinion. From personal experience, if you're visibly a non-local, you can't walk a block before someone starts hustling you to take their bike, or harass you with slurs or taunts. It doesn't feel safe at all just stepping out my hotel, even if I'm just waiting for my Bolt/Uber ride. Also, the junction coming into the hotel during the day is almost always congested & a choke point, so if you're on day tour & you return at 4-6pm, good luck is all I can say.
The room was very clean. The staff were friendly. We stayed here the night we arrived in Nairobi, before flying to Zanzibar the next day. The hotel connected us to a driver named Giro, who was a wonderful help to us! He even waited for 2 hours at the airport while we tracked down bags that were lost by Lufthansa.
Huge family room. Very clean hotel. Nice food.
Family room did not have air con. Other group members who stayed in another room had air-conditioning so not sure why some rooms have it and some don't. Worth checking when booking.
Simply my preferred place for stays in Nairobi. Large and spacious rooms with all the facilities I consider necessary for a pleasant and comfortable stay. So kind and helpful staff since the fist contact with the reception. Variety of the restaurant menu at affordable prices, and enough complete morning breakfast buffet. Tasty. Nothing new that I didn't wrote in past comments .
Some buildings in construction are temporarily noisy, and some heavy traffic is noticeable in the mornings for people with some sleeping issues like me
Really nice Hotel just in between the town and 15 min away from the airport I will recommend the room was just amazing I will definitely booked again for my next trip
Very good service. I requested a check-in in the middle of the night because of a lat arrival at the airport and it was no issue at all.
Big rooms, spacious, friendly staff, good breakfast, flexible in terms of checkout
Well located and close to the airport, Razana is a comfortable option to spend the night in Nairobi.
The bathroom facilities were a bit older than expected, but all in all it was good.
Location near airport Deluxe Double nice large roomBreakfast is okay, not great
Not much in neighborhood No alcohol in restaurant The motion detector light in bathroom is really annoying on late night visits
breakfast was buffet style, with a good balance of foods Great Gym, nice court yard, and clean rooms
Mosquitos in the area, so either bed netting or spray in the room would be good
Great staff, delicious breakfast.Since we set out on our safari early in the morning, this is a perfect location for leaving the city without traffic.
The furniture and plumbing are quite old. It would be uncomfortable to live in such conditions for a few nights (we stayed for one night).
